    Hi all

So Kevin at the Cosmo was nice enough to set me up with a host after I emailed him in regards to a match with my current MLife offers. The woman emailed me right away, introduced herself and asked me what she could do, what I needed, etc. I responded right after her email and asked a bunch of questions as I've never stayed at the Cosmo before. Radio Silence. After 4 days of not getting an email back I emailed her again and asked for an update or if she had any insight into my questions. No response. Its now been over a week and I'm a little perturbed and frankly thinking of cancelling my whole trip to Cosmo and just staying at an MLife property.

My question is: Am I overreacting? Should I not expect a response within a week? My corporate host at MLife usually emails me back the same day and if not then the following. I get I may not be a super high roller but as a new customer I would think they would want to make a good first impression.

    Tell me what you think.

Non reply from a host is discourteous and an insult. She could at least reply whether positive or negative. Dump them and move on its your money.

send her another email and ask her if you can wire 250k to the casinos bank account to start on a prepaid Marker like you do at Mlife.
bet you she will respond right away.

Yes it is normally rude for a host to not reply to you but it also could be something going on with the host or the casino. Since it's been a week since you last emailed I would probably send her another email. If still no response you should ask Kevin if he could introduce you to another host and explain that you want a host that will be more attentive to your emails and queries and you can explain what has been going on so far.

Could be a number of reasons why the host isn't returning your emails. Rather than worry about "overreacting" better to just send the last email to her and if she doesn't respond then time to move on to another host or another casino.

Years ago my gambling friend introduced me to a host (I won't say where). My friend was a "semi-" high roller, getting RFB and limo service. I spoke with the host and explained what kind of gambler I am (red chip). At least he was nice and said that my play wouldn't warrant any types of comps except maybe rack room rate.

I would give them a call and ask for that host or the host on duty. Could be a simple misunderstanding or she's been out sick or quit... You just never know.

Worst case, email Kevin again and ask if he can have another host contact you since you haven't hear back from the first one.

Possibly but when I email my host at the Cosmo and she's off, I get an automated reply saying so. IMHO, no response after 4 days is unacceptable.

This is getting to be (as paperposter said) one of the busiest times of the year. I know if I emailed our host it could be until next week before he gets back with us. If you haven't heard anything by early next week resend your email and then if no reply forward it to Kevin or the director of marketing (who used to be our host @ NYNY) Leslie. Good Luck

Agree with the other people said above: what is your trip date? what were your questions?
If you were planning for a trip in June, for instance, then no reason for her to spend time on it now.
Or if one of your questions was offensive or ridiculous, she could block you right away and then your emails go to junk.
Another possibility: you got her email address wrong.

I've just got back to the forum and see there were many questions. Just to give some more info. She originally emailed me the next day (after hearing from Kevin). Once I responded to her first email with my info/questions is when I haven't heard back. My issue isn't that she hasn't emailed me at all its that we started a conversation and then it went silent.

I originally told Kevin May, but part of my email was that the dates needed to change because there was a change in plans & I wanted to see if they could still make it work.

    ??? Nice Cheshire Cat?

Questions were just general property specific questions. Nothing crazy or insulting. She emailed me, I just responded.

I thought you had only written one email, so I was suggesting give the host one more chance in case they overlooked it, was out, etc.

On second read, I then saw you HAD emailed again, still nothing. I decided to delete my post since my whole point was based on presuming you had only sent one email....ergo the "..."

Good luck, I hope this is resolved for you soon!

PS, Bingo on the Cheshire Cat!:D

Interesting, my host is Ricci and I was in the same match scenario. Communication has been flawless, so most likely their system has put up a firewall of sorts. Just pick up the phone and give them a ring, but both Kevin and her have been fantastic with communications thus far.

I would be annoyed. I've had it happen to me. One went radio silent and another took a week to respond. As a previous poster suggested I'd give a call and see if you can speak to them.

Paper is also right that it's crazy busy and if your trip isn't for awhile they could be swamped. But even then a brief "hey sorry things are crazy but I see your trip isn't until xxxx - I'll get back to you as soon as this weekend is over" isn't too much to ask.

Reading the Op's posts I don't think the host got back to him yet.

Seems Kevin contacted the host, then the host emailed deppy. Deppy emailed back and after that no response from the host.

Hiya Maki, the OP was just asking why my big contribution was "...". I had that because I deleted my previous post. It just became too convoluted for me to make any worthwhile/helpful comments, so I deleted my first post and replaced it with "..." since you can't delete delete, just edit.

I'm just going to watch this one as an audience versus contributor! :)

You're right, I misread that he heard back, he was just recapping what happened originally.

In my experiences with both Cosmo and M Life over the last 5 years, we get treated a lot better through M Life. I would stick with them, and I don't think you are over reacting.
