Just got back from a stay at the casino. Figured I'd jot down a few thoughts while they were fresh on my mind..

The Room...we had an accessible room so I'm assuming this was a bit larger than the average room at least the bathroom. Sorry I didnt take any pics I had left my phone in the car at first and didnt get it until later in the evening. Well worth the midweek rates if you can get them for 80 or less...nothing of note around except their golf course to warrant staying here except for the casino so personally I think that hurts the value of the room. I see some as low as $69 without being logged in to TR. Beds were great and comfortable. Everything was clean. and quiet. We even had a thunderstorm and took a bit to figure out what the noise was as it was muffled so much. Black out curtains blocked the lightning.

Notes...pack your own drinks and snacks as there is nothing around and everything is way to expensive to buy at the shops around the hotel including the $4 bottles of water in the rooms...lol. Dont want to rant but come on. I'd rather pay an extra 10 dollars a night and then not be nickled and dimed to death over stuff like this. Still had free coffee in the rooms but no creamer so I passed.

Room service ridiculously expensive as well. What would be a small pizza at a regular pizza place (Pizza Hut for example) even though they called it a large was 15 dollars for just a cheese pizza and a few comp veggie toppings. Meat toppings 1.50 each. Got one just to use up leftover food credits we didn't use.

Resort fee: $11 a night though I could have sworn I read $15 and change on their website.

The Spread Buffet Overall very impressed. 19.99 with TR. Think it runs like 25.99 on Fri and Sat when they have Prime Rib. Selection wasn't the best that I've seen but plenty of options and everything we ate had great flavor. Best catfish I believe I've ever ate. Stir fry crab meat and the cheese cake were also favorites. Guests I had with me said the fried chicken was great but I didnt have it. I have issues with it at times and didnt want to spend the evening in the restroom. But they all loved it.

The Casino Les crowded than I have ever seen it. Except for the tables. Still too crowded to get on a table. Plus when you have people playing 25 a hand two hands at a time at a 5 dollar table while there are 10 dollar tables open....go figure. Wanted to play craps but only one table open and so crowded I couldnt even see what the table limit was, but pretty sure they still have the 100X odds.

Video poker was not as bad as I expected...if you play JoB dollar machines with max coins. 9/5 machines with 4k (or more with progressives with 5 coins) 1 coin the Royals only played 250...so had to play max to get any value out of a royal. The 25 cent machines were 7/5 and I didnt even look at the rest of the paytable. Just kept walking.

Didnt see a lot of winning but stayed mostly on the first floor where the poker room is and its non smoking and very few people down there.

Overall impression would be favorable...probably will return some time this year. If there is enough comps involved..we'll see what the mail brings....

Oh forgot to mention Wi-Fi 15.99 a night....and no cell phone service while on the boat. Though it has improved...used to lose it leaving new Albany. Now service in the hotel atleast.
