Did a little research for my July 23-27 stay for cabanas or daybeds. I understand the concept of inflation, but some strip pools have literally doubled in price from 2019 pricing. Does anyone have any tips? I know MGM had the 100% F&B credit years ago, but I feel that’s gone now. May have to stick to a lounge chair!

This is more likely to be demand, rather than inflation per se. This is arguably the first "post-Covid" summer with essentially zero restrictions.

As far as tips, other than waiting to see if the price goes down, there isn't much I can think of. There's a relatively limited number of cabanas out there, so if they can sell them out by charging $X, there's not really much reason to let people reserve them for less than that.

Cosmo has 100% f&b credit. Chelsea tower and Tues/wed are cheaper

Oh yeah? Couple questions. Is that 7 days a week? Also, do I have to be staying there?

The SevenRooms portal has this poorly-worded note at the top: "AT THIS TIME, CABANA AND DAYBED RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR NON-REGISTERED HOTEL GUESTS". I assume this means that non-hotel guests need a cabana reservation in order to access the pool area, and thus that reservations are available to non-hotel guests, but it's not exactly the clearest disclaimer in the world.

Ha, Caesars and MGM both use UrVenue for cabanas, and they're pretty silent on this issue. However, I remember back in 2020 there was a specific rule that you had to be a guest to reserve at Mandalay Bay (though I was able to talk my way around that one), but that language isn't there anymore. Whether that's just an omission, or a change in the rules, I don't know.

Not sure if this is still the case, but I used to see a bunch of the CET properties put them on Groupon and some other deal sites.

Ok, so it’s 100% covered by F&B. Going with a couple guys I know, I am sure we can eat/drink $700 worth throughout the entire day.

Poolside cabana room at Linq is DIRT cheap during your dates. That’s what I’d go for, personally.

I'm looking at mgm vs Cosmo as I like the food credit. Can anyone comment what the difference is between mgm pool and Cosmo pool?

Which do you prefer and why?

MGM is Cosmo but with a lazy River and kids. Other than that, it’s sorta similar.

I looked at booking a cabana at the Mirage during our upcoming trip, as I love the hot tubs/pools...not one available...crazy. I will not go to another resort for a hot tub/pool...not worth it to us. We may spend a morning at the Mirage pool.

I went with the MGM, $300 with half towards F&B on day, Cosmo the other. I will just do day chairs the rest of the time.

I booked a West Lagoon Cabana at Mandalay Bay a month ago for July 20th. It was 425.00 then. Just checked and it was 460.00. Last year same time it was 800.00
