Everybody here, including the fish, eats shrimp. Sauteed some of that plus a sheepshead (not the Great Lakes type) recently. Caught a 30-inch snook, also on shrimp, but they're out of season. Had to let it go.

Either miso shrimp or 'ono cow tonight. (The latter as in teriyaki, but a really good homemade soak that is way more umami than syrupy thick and sweet .)

At least your casserole looks edible @Breeze147. My tuna noodle casserole failure 20+ years ago is still a standing joke at our house every Christmas Eve as in “Mom, will you make that delicious tuna casserole again for Xmas Eve?”
It was a requested quick and easy casserole I used to make for years before our church service, this one looked and tasted like sticky glue, everyone bravely tried to eat it but ended up in the garbage. :vomit:
I have not made one since :evillaugh:

We did Christmas dinner today with my Bro and SIL, since we head to Costa Rica on Monday. Lot of rum and some killer smoked Prime Rib with all the fixings. SIL just left my brother passed out on our sofa. My wife wants to Sharpie him for old times. May happen. Cheers to the season my friends!
    Peace!

    Baked potato
    Asparagus
Yorkshire pudding- never actually had this before much less made it, but very happy with how it turned out

I feel like a return to more normal foods after all the holiday feasting is in order here, so the slow cooker is about to get loaded up for some turkey chilli. Love cooking in a way that means you ignore it for three hours and then voila, dinner!

Agreed. We're back home now and craving some comfort goodies. We're gonna grill that bird tonight!! (We'd planned on roasting a chicken but when I saw Pedro at the store it was as if a squirrel in a flashing neon suit went scampering by.)

Mom & her husband coming for the weekend - we had to cancel Thanksgiving at their house at the last minute when their reservoir drained that Wednesday and left the town on water restrictions....So I'm smoking a ham for tonight and tomorrow we're doing surf & turf - lobster thermidor & coffee spice rubbed beef tenderloin....
