Hey all,

New to the message board, counting down the days until my 7th Vegas trip!

I love all things Vegas, and would likely be considered a low-roller. I do have a question about maximizing my ADT on my upcoming trip (short, 2-niter). I get in around 8:30pm on the 13th...would I be smarter not using my MLife card for gambling on the 13th (since it'll be a much shorter gambling time than on the 14th), and play with my card on the 14th?

Or, because they know I'm staying there (Luxor), if I give no recorded play on the 13th, would they automatically put my ADT at whatever it is on the 14th divided by two (since I'm staying for two nights)? I think this is the one thing I'm unclear about with how ADT is calculated when you're staying at the property!

FWIW I'm definitely not chasing comps with play, but why not maximize ADT if I can, right?

Welcome & enjoy your trip! Hope others can answer your question. :)

Welcome to VMB tornadobox!!

There is a recent thread in casino gaming/comps that might help answer your question:

I'll leave the mlife ADT partial day question to the pros - if the above thread doesn't help, you could do a copy and paste into a new thread for casino gaming / comps where you are sure to get responses. (I believe mlife and cet calculate it differently so be sure to specify mlife as you did in your original post).

Just wanted to give a quick update on my trip:

I didn't end up worrying about ADT, just played as I wanted, even where I wanted within MLife properties (most play at Luxor - where I was staying, but also played at Bellagio and Mandalay Bay). Charged as much as I could to my room during my stay, and went to the MLife desk the night before my departure to ask if they could take anything off of my bill based on my play. Ended up with about $55 taken off...no idea if that's good or bad (well, it's good because it's better than nothing!), but like I mentioned above I'm certainly a low-roller.

I checked out Caesars, Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, Aria, NY-NY, MGM Grand, Excalibur, and Mandalay Bay (in addition to staying at Luxor) during my trip.

I'm already re-booked for another trip (this time with a friend) for the beginning of May. He's never been to Vegas, but wanted to keep the hotel as inexpensive as possible while still staying on the strip...so Excalibur it is (for now)!

Thanks for the update, tornadobox!
Have a great time with your friend on your next trip!
Excalibur is a castle so it's only appropriate that you get dealt several Royals there, right? :D
