So are there any Comps out there just for the asking anymore. Like if I've been playing at a table for awhile and ask the Pit Boss for a buffet comp? Does this happen anymore?

I think so, last trip I was at luxor and met this pitt boss with a Dutch name which triggered a nice chat, after a couple of minutes she offered free buffet comps and put them on our card, which was great.

Yes. I've seen them written all over. In general, you are going to have more success if you aim a bit lower (i.e. asking at Bally's is going to go further than asking at the Bellagio for the same amount of play)

HELL Today is getting harder and harder just to get a simple drink at a poker bar. They want you to play MAX coins on ALL the games on the machine and who knows how long you have to play that Max coins just for any kind of drink. At least 20 min. That can turn out to be one hell of an expensive drink. WestGate has this Light system now. NOT for me.

Interesting thread, read a lot of the posts and still not totally in tune. 2 questions as I have been going to Vegas for years but never signed up for a card. Signed up for a Grazie and M Life card this time and wondering if it is worth it. I will be mainly playing craps and going to a few shows. Bringing about $7.5k to gamble over 6 nights as I said mainly on craps, is that worth using a card or will the benefits be so small its pointless. Staying in the Venetian so will probably gamble there mainly, unless someone has better advice.

    getting a card costs nothing.

If you are playing around with that much money, yes it will be worth it. If you had done that level of play in the past, you would be getting free rooms now.

Scan some posts in the COMPS sub forum for more info.

I'm a little concerned, as my host just left Caesars and we have a trip booked with him for the end of this month. He has booked us in a strip suite and usually comps show tickets and around $600 or so off food, etc. at the end. We take $10,000 between us for the week, and gamble a LOT, if the money holds out...me, usually vp for up to 12 to 14 hours or more a day. My husband plays a lot of poker but also several hours of $1 to $5, sometimes more in slots a day. Does this amount of comp seem about right? We also get a limo, which I don't think I can give up. I like CET because I can bounce around if one place is not working out.

    Hello all,
How do I see the total number of nights comped to me. The TR booking calendar shows 5 nights. Then, I booked 2 nights and it still shows 5 nights.

You might want to check out a few other subforums that talk about CET rewards. There is no place to see how many nights you have coming. The CET magic machines takes your ADT and available nights and comes up with options. You will not get a definitive answer.

Oh yea... You free nights are not a REWARD for past play. They are an enticement based on your past play to come back, play again and leave more money. Zero reward for past play. All based on what they thing they can get from you going forward (based on your history).

    Hi All,

I'm an MLife player and mostly play at Mirage. I'm just 5600 tier credits short of reaching Gold status. I have an offer for 3 comp nights plus a tiny bit of resort credit (I can only use two nights due to scheduling) and can fly for free using credit card points. I mostly play Pai Gow Poker at $30 per hand ($25 +$5) and also play some $10 craps. ($10 line, max odds, $32 -$44 inside)

My question is if I play let's say an hour or two of craps and 8-10 hours of Pai Gow, will that be enough action to get the 5600 tier credits?

    Thanks

When it comes to table games, it almost seems like it's at the pit boss discretion as to how much tier credit he issues. Ive been told to ask what they have me down for before I leave the table.........but I never do. That said, 5600 tier credits away doesn't sound too hard to achieve in one trip since you already made it to pearl. Tier points re-set to zero I believe on Sept 30, so if your trip is before that time, you should make it. If not, you still will remain at pearl for the following fiscal year (as far as i'm told :) )

Here's what I found that should make more sense:

    • For hotel, dining, entertainment and spa you’ll earn 25 tier credits for every $1 spent
    • For slot machines, you’ll earn 10 tier credits for every base point earned (base point is earned for each $3 coin in on slots)
    • For video poker, you’ll earn 10 tier credits for every base point earned (base point is earned for each $10 coin in on VP)
    • For play on table games, base credits are determined by average wager and time played
I glad you brought this up as I just learned something new myself by finding this :) Good luck!

There is no guarantee. I had experience with either way,
playing 3+ hours at tables getting 0 tier credit, or getting much more than I expected.

If it was me, I would just play some non-specialty slots, or Video Poker if you are familiar with it, and earn those credits.
Gold doesn't have much value to be honest.
As a gambler, I consider playing tables or machines more or less the same.
So I would just play the machines to make sure I get the tier credits.

Chances are you are going to lose. Not having a card to at least get some benefits is the height of stoopidity!

I play roulette most often. About two years ago I figured I would try something different. I would get 300 too 500 in chips every time I sat down. Even if I was only going to make one or two small bets or just play 100 of it. Then go cash it back in when I was done. I figured this would make them think I am betting way more than I actually am. I know I am bad... but so are they... lol I have received a few comped rooms since then.

It helps if you have a host. They can usually get you better comps than the standard offers. I always stay at the Gate. My host is great and arranges airport transport (limo) to and from. I've gotten show tickets and room charges comped on top of my standard suite. Of course, you'll need to play enough to get a host. If you play 500$ a day or so at a downtown property you will be treated pretty well. That same 500$ at a strip casino won't get you nearly as many comps. Probably a regular room and a few dining credits, but no limo.
