    Hey all,

Just found this site a few days ago and I have been reading everything I can.

I have been to Vegas one time and that was like 4 years ago.

I really only have 2 options out here in Missouri as far as player's program goes, either Marquee Rewards, soon to be Mychoice and Boyd gaming.

I used the Mychoice through Ameristar St. Charles when I was at the Elite level card for my last trip to Vegas and stayed at MGM Grand.

I would like to stay more on the strip so I can get "in the action" of Vegas, however, with the limited choices of player programs I have, it will be more money and I would like to save that money for gambling more. LOL

I stayed at MGM Grand for 4 days, all complementary the last time I was there, but I am just wondering if there are anyone else from Missouri on here that could give a little more insight as to how to get free rooms on the strip in Las Vegas.

I am pretty much in the middle of all rewards programs as I am a Producer with Hollywood and Preferred at Ameristar.

If anyone else has any information, I would be more than willing to read it and look into it more.

Sorry for the long first post, but I am excited that I found this awesome website!

Thank you to all who run this website and contribute to it!!

Welcome to VMB! You might try asking your question in the Comps section (or the Non-Vegas Casino section) to get a few more eyes on it.

Welcome. You will love it here. I am also in St Louis. Luckily have a history with Ceasars so I can still get comped. If you were in players club when Hollywood was Harrahs try logging on to Total Rewards. May not be free but may get a discount. Doesn't Penn Hollywood still offer rooms at the Tropicana? Not my ideal location but may try there. Again Welcome

@Dodgeus : Thank you for the welcome. And I only went one time, way back when it used to be Harrah's. Ameristar has typically been my go to, however, I have expanded my horizons this year to include Hollywood. LOL

Glad to meet a fellow St. Louisan on here! Where do you typically stay when you go to Vegas? Still Total Rewards properties? And yes, I was thinking about going to Tropicana and using that. We shall see.

I was thinking about taking a weekend trip to Kansas City one time and try the Harrah's in KC. Have you been there before? Any words of advice?

    Thanks again!

Welcome to the the best Vegas board.

I also am a fellow, Missourian, Hannibal, MO in fact. Now living in Arizona.

We always played at Harrah's in St. Louis and sometimes Ameristar. Although, I understand Harrah's is now Hollywood.

I like the CET properties if staying on the strip, but we now stay downtown. Don't have to walk as much. LOL

Harrah's in Las Vegas is pretty easy to get some comp rooms or greatly reduced rates. Maybe give them a call?

    Enjoy Vegas!!

Harrah's in K.C. is really nice.

We lived in K.C. for a year and always went there. Liked everything about it.

@VegasNewbie88 I usually stay at CET properties in Vegas. Ballys or Planet Hollywood
I too visit KC a lot due to work. Usually stay at Ameristar but I always try make sure I get over to Harrahs and give them some play. They are really close to one another.
I also used to frequent Tunica a lot so CET play there also.
Try logging into Total Rewards you may be surprised

My advice: get a players card everywhere you play, use it religiously, tip the dealers, be kind and courteous, shake hands with the suits at the tables and introduce yourself, use your players cards for all casino purchases (food, gift shops, etc).

And last but not least, when a casino sends you an offer... USE IT!!! This shows them "it worked" and they have your business. Before you know it your comps will start increasing and you will have all the free rooms you could possibly want, then food offers, then Freeplay.

Trust me, this works, been doing it for almost 2 decades and haven't paid for a room in Vegas for many years and I'm not a High Roller.

    Welcome to VMB!

You mentioned you stayed at MGM Grand 4 years ago? if you played there and used your mlife players card, you are in the system. You can go online to mlife and see if you might have an online offer, or call marketing or whichever mlife property you’re interested in and ask if you have any offers. You probably won’t have anything after 4 years, but they might give you a discount, and places like Luxor or Excalibur or NY might fit your budget until you can earn a comped room.

For sure, get a card everywhere you play, and use it! I only play occasionally at CET properties and somehow get comp offers on line, even have a host calling me to stay at a CET property. (I’m a slot player) Hopefully if you play at CET next trip will get you some offers too. Harrah’s is pretty easy to get comps at. It never hurts to call and ask.

    Best of luck.
