NBE will extend it to 6 or 7 games. Hopefully you hedged.

Decided not to hedge. Even at 1-1, I like my chances

I think you look at the pay-out. If someone walked up to you and prior to the series offered you the bet you took way back when would you be looking to hedge after game 1 or 2 or 3? That is where you are. You made it through all the precarious hoops and are in the finals. Surely you bet a manageable sum to take home a whale of a win.......ride it....and good luck! (now if it is a fire bet with one number to go and you have to lay the 10 for a profit either way.......maybe)....good luck again....

Basketball as it should be played. Team play to perfection. Beautiful to watch.

Spurs should be up 3 - 0, but handed Miami game two by missing FOUR freethrows in a row! Add an extra 2 points courtesy of Wade's Plop. His man meter went down to princess. Don't sneeze or you might knock him down.

It's always difficult to say it would be 3-0, you don't know what the mindset of both teams would be if the Spurs had won the 2nd game.
But I agree that last nights Spurs team played possibly the best and most effective (especially 1st half) that I've ever seen. :nworthy:

Indeed. I recall a playoff game about a decade ago between the Mavs and Kings where Dallas had a similar, ridiculous half. But in the NBA finals! I've watched every finals game for the past thirty years and the only one I can remember being even close to this one in terms of efficient, offensive team play was the Boston Memorial Day Massacre in 1985

Wow! As a Heat fan that game was difficult to watch. The Spurs played a nearly flawless 1st quarter and 1st half. I thought that the Heat may be able to get back into the game in the third when they closed the gap to 7 points, but it seemed like every time they would get a defensive stop, they could not execute on the offensive side of the ball and every time they would get a basket on the offensive end, they could not make a stop on the defensive end.

Thursday night is a must win game for the Heat!

    Go Heat!

Never saw that game myself as I was only 1 at that time, but my dad used to talk about it a lot, he was in awe with the Boston offensive display.. The name Scott Wedman pops up in my head,I think he shot 10-10 or something?

My prediction... Thursday night's game will feature Joey Crawford as head referee and almost every call with go the Heat's way. The NBA will insure a Heat win by 10+.

Correct. Probably the best game of his career. He did not miss a shot. Game 2, the Lakers shut him down and just pounded the ball repeatedly into Kareem. The Lakers came into Game 2 pissed off and it showed on the defensive end. James and Wade seemed a bit too flippant and resigned in the post game press conference, IMO. Doesn't mean they won't come out Thursday night with a sense of urgency, but the reactions of Allen and Bosh were more what I would want to see if I am a Heat fan

But Parker's acting is perfectly fine...typical Spurs fan.

There were some pretty horrible calls last night in the Spurs favor...regardless though, the Spurs played out of their mind in the first half

That game was difficult to watch! The Heat just look over-matched and despondent. It looks like UKFanatic's bet is safe. In the words of Jurgen Klinsman (sp.), it is "unrealistic" to expect the Heat to somehow win three games in a row with two in San Antonio (especially after being completely outclassed in the last two games), but I hope they at least show some pride and make game 5 a contest.

    Go Heat!
