Heart Life Vests

Has anyone traveled with a heart life vest? The vest company said I shouldn't have any trouble getting thru security since I do have vest documents, but it concerns me that I cannot go thru the x-ray machines. I've only had the vest for a week, so I haven't had any experience traveling with it. If anyone has had experienced this, I would appreciate any feedback you can give. We leave next Saturday.

It does help. Thr tech company that monitors my vest 24/7 said to request a pat down, so that is what I'm planning on doing.
