Have you used a scooter at Venetian?

I have some mobility issues due to a car accident so walking all day/night are no longer possible. It’s always a work/pleasure trip for us. Last year I rented a scooter to use at the convention center all day and then I was able to walk quite a bit in the casinos at night. We were staying at Bally’s and I didn’t have any issues.(Other than some people making remarks because I’m overweight so they assumed I was just lazy).

This trip we’re staying at Venetian. Do they allow scooters in the rooms at night? I can’t do Vegas without one anymore.

My wife is disabled and when we go to LasVegas we always rent a scooter for her. I have never been told we could not keep it in the room at any hotel.

Who do you rent the scooters from, and do you have to buy the insurance, which costs as much as the scooter.

I bring my personal scooter from home and i rent a bigger scooter for roaming the strip. I use 702scooters.com and i rent a victory 10. 702 scooters will deliver the scooter to the hotel bell desk where ever you're staying and you just bring it back to the bell desk when you leave. It's about 100$ for 7 days with insurance for the victory 10.

You can get a scooter at the Bell Desk at any of the hotels on the strip. They all allow you to have 1. My mother gets 1 every time we go with no issues.

We use 702Scooters.com Not sure if there is a cost break but you can rent one from any hotel. Reserving one from 702Scooters assures my wife there will be one there when we arrive.

I looked into this not long ago and from what I gathered, scooters can be rented at the bell desk but not sure what type of scooters they are. From 702Scooters.com you can pick which one you'd like to rent.

Op... I never heard of hotels not allowing scooters in the room at nights. That sounds like an ada violation. Can you elaborate some more on that?

I rented one for my mother at Venetian due to only needing it for two days and yes they allow them in the rooms.

There are quite a few other companies online that offer better prices when ordering for three days or more who will drop it off for you.

I've never rented one. But in our stays at the Cal there are almost always a scooter or two parked in the hallway on the various floors.

I've always used them at Venetian/Palazzo since I've needed them, and never had any problems.

First time I left it in the hallway, and got asked to keep it in the room.

ScooterBug is my fav when I was renting them. If you have a host - check with them. My scooter has been comped all but twice in the years I've used one. You pick it up and drop it off at the Bell Desk. Very Easy!!

Edited to Add: I have never, ever gotten the insurance. Even if you absolutely demolished the thing we're only talking $4000 or so and what are the chances of that? I've torn an arm off and that's about it and was able to screw it back on and was never asked about it or dinged for it.

Thanks for all the help! Last time I left it in the hall at Bally’s, a couple tried to take off with it. Luckily I had removed the key.

I’ll start looking for promos. I didn’t know if the upscale hotels allowed them but I guess they have to.

As far as insurance, I got it just in case last time and it was cheap. The scooter I got looked like it had been drag racing for years but she ran like a charm all week!

So much fun to fly down the hall at night when everyone else is stumbling to the room.
