Would like to hear more from @Kuch1000 on the SI swimwear shoot prize.
When was that and were you allowed to meet any of the models or not?

It was in October of 2007 for the upcoming 2008 issue. They had a couple marketing executives meet us for happy hour and take us to dinner the night before.

The next day in an area near the beach, we met up with them. The model was Melissa Baker. The entire crew was there - producer Diane Smith, photographer Raphael Mazzucco, etc. We spent a few hours with Melissa and the crew (12-14 people) who were all super friendly and had lots of good stories. We had lunch with all of them, and watched the hair and makeup guys, who were super funny, get Melissa ready. Then Raphael took several shots of Melissa in and around the beach.

They gave each of us (3 winners, each with a guest) a swag bag that included a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit hardcover book that we got autographs from everyone in.

The marketing execs took us out for dinner again that night after the shoot. I will just always remember how super-friendly everyone was and made us feel like part of their crew for a few hours. Melissa even gave us hugs when we left and thanked us for being there.

Back when Terminator 2 was just released, I entered one. Won a pretty nice DVD player. Well, for the time it was nice.

In 6th grade I won 4 cakes in four rounds of the cake walk at the church's fall bazaar. Also won a used Clapper  in the silent auction.

Winner, winner--plus a :feedme: chicken dinner!

I have been sweeping for several years. Long periods of nothing. I did however have some nice wins periodically. Here are some various ones I'm happy with.

*$200 Pamida gift cards (stocked up on paper goods etc)
*2007 - $500 Airfare (used it for Vegas)
*2008 - ESPN the Weekend trip to Disney for 4 & $1500 in Dicks Sporting Goods GC. It was a quick turnaround - about 3 weeks to trip. With everyones timing we were able to do 4 of the 5 nights (received 6 day hoppers). About 5 minutes after I called my son he called back and said 'How long does it take to get a Diamond Ring?'. This trip resulted in a stay at Beach Club and watching my son propose to my d-in-law in front of the Castle.
*2008 (later in year) RT Airfare on Frontier, 4 nights at Gaylord Palms (just outside Disney), Rental car & a couple meals at Palms. Prior to leaving the trip above ^^ I had paid the 'non-expiring' on our remaining unused trip days from trip above so we had 2 or 3 park days. Used in 2009 or 2010 I believe.
*2009? Bike GPS with a value of around $700. Sold it for around $550.
*2011 Old Wisconsin Green Bay Packer Win - 2 Club level tickets, autographed helmet, autographed football
*2012 Caesars had an online game. Won several GCs and also 2 night trip to Atlantic City. I tried to get them to let me extend it a night & pay the add'l (would have been a comp room night) to stay longer but the booking agency was adamant. (Most will let you go extra at your own cost). I did have to do rental car at my expense.
    *2015 *3 nights at Country Inn & Suites & a $300 Visa GC
*2015 *3 $200 Live Nation Concert Cash (sold on eBay)

In 2012 I did also win a Harley Trike at our local casino in a drawing. Netted around $18,500 cash ($32,000 value) after paying income taxes & sales tax to register with State (dealer requried that), and then selling it two days later. That went towards part of year 3 for UW Madison for daughter's college.

$2000 in a March Madness tourney that my son helped us pick the wins for. Mom entered also with same picks and she won $1000 for second place since she entered the drawing after I did. (Gave my son part of it).

Everything since has been pretty dang dry. I know I have had some smaller items each year & some hot seat picks at Casino for freeplay or up to $250. A good part of it is my fault. I spent so much more evening time playing MyVegas and other dang online games vs. entering. I have a very poor internet connection so I can't do both at one time and normally can't even load more than 2 windows lol. I know some people do the MV or things like sweeping in another window while working, but our firewalls prohibit that and I don't have the time to even check another browser window lol. I have to give myself some consolation that even after spending a bunch on the game I have more than received back the amount spent on coins in show tickets and food. Plus I have some great extras such as Helicopter over Strip, Helicopter to Grand Canyon etc.

I keep telling myself to stop the dang games and focus on sweeps lol.
