This has been touched on in other threads, but wanted to have a separate thread dedicated to the question. Have your recent session buy in amounts increased in proportion to how much minimums have gone up? Also, what have you observed with other players in terms of the same question as well? I'm mainly interested in craps, but the question could apply to other tables.

Frankly I’ve just stopped playing craps altogether. If they won’t set a table limit that I’m even close to comfortable playing, I’m more than willing to walk on by the $25, $50, or $100 minimum tables and find something else to do.

Yep, got pushed to $100 a hand for blackjack when I was at the Wynn earlier this month. Lost my ass, but Saratoga was very good to me, so it didn't matter. Sometimes I yearn for the "Fun Pit" at the Sands or the old Celebrity dealers at the Imperial Palace (Elvis, Michael, Madonna)—$1 a hand and $2 hand.

I was not able to observe what others may be doing. I am not willing to triple my bankroll just because they want to triple their cash. I saw some busy tables, but saw more that were just empty. I spent more time sitting at the bar playing VP and watching sports.

We’re strictly low roller, Boyd’s downtown. The increases have literally tripled and yes, we have increased our buy in. Not a lot, just $300 to $500 but enough that we definitely notice. And we don’t play as often, just 3 times this last trip as opposed to 7 or more sessions before. We’re more on the video poker now.

I’m stubborn, there are plenty of things for me to do in Vegas other than expensive craps/gambling. I’ve switched to bubble/electronic craps, playing the ponies and do some sports betting. I’ve had several trips to LV over the last 18 months, and only played one time at a $25 table, and that’s when Tiffany nailed that guy in the neck with the dice.

The bigger increase to my bankroll was not going to vegas since 2019! :D

But my bankroll could always support $15 rolls but I just liked the lively nature of $5-10 tables in craps. $25 craps I would have to think about it and probably need some help and some handpays before I stepped up regularly. Every other game I would usually bet $25+ anyway. But in general I have switched some of my table play to VP when I want to slow down instead of ultra slowing down in the sportsbook.

I mainly play blackjack and Mississippi Stud, but yes, my buy-ins have increased to match the table mins. Used to play $5-$10 BJ, but now mainly play $25. MS used to be $5, but now mainly $10.

At the $5 table, my buy-in was about $200.
    At the $10-$15 I upped it $300.
Now at the $25 table its no less than $500 and at most $600.
Unfortunately, I am starting to enjoy playing at the $25 table. :(

I just don't play craps anymore. It sucks and I could afford a $15 table, but I am not comfortable playing like that. So, until when/if they bring $5 tables back, I'm done.

Even pre covid there was enough min creep to adjust my patterns. I’m comfortable up to $25 3/2 but when start seeing $25 and $50 6/5 I look at other options for my time. I can nurse a beer a long time playing quarters on shitty tables at a bar watching a game and getting as much / more joy than playing some tables.

obviously casinos drill down on their data and make their best decision but, they are definitely making less off me than before.

Not a lot but some. $5 table buy in at $250. $10 buy in $300 and some changes in play.

It is interesting to note that those indicating that their bankroll has increased, they have not grown proportionately. Those increased buy ins don’t buy as many bets. In general, my bankroll has grown. But, for craps, the fact that you make multiple bets, means you can go broke quickly if you only have 25 bets.

I used to think the casino bosses might care, but now think they want to skin you as fast as they can. Perhaps they know that every department under the roof is trying to skin you just as quickly!

Kind of related. I've noticed that with the increase in craps minimums, not many people are playing craps. They'll buy in for a couple hundred and play the field, yo, or other random bets. Not many are playing the pass/don't pass with odds or box numbers.
I'll see an entire $25+ table with only two people actually playing and everyone else has ~$100 just filling a spot. They eventually lose and the spot gets filled with more of them.

I no longer play craps at the local joints in the DMV. Pre-pandemic it was a chance encounter to find a $15 table and now it is difficult to find a $25 table. I like a $10 table because you can always go up and i press it up quickly on a $10 table to the point that I’m playing at $25 level after a shooter hits a couple of numbers and a few points.
So, didn’t really increase the bankroll...

I actually decreased my table buy-in, to essentially zero.
