Has anyone stayed at the Linq recently?

Headed out second week in July, staying at the Linq. I’ve always wanted to stay there for some reason, just felt drawn to it, so when the time freed up in our schedule we booked it. It was a nothing-burger of a weekend when we booked it months ago, but now with the big name concerts and the UFC fight it's turned into a monster weekend.

Reading the recent June 2021 reviews of Linq on TripAdvisor read like a horror movie (highly recommend for hate-reading) between the lack of staff, general CET related malady, dirty rooms, and weed everywhere, I'm starting to really worry. I'm hoping it's bad review bias, and there are some positive experiences out there. We've got massages and a Cabana booked to boot.

Curious what the forum thinks... I might book a back up room at Harrahs or downtown, as they're really the only sub-$500 rates and my bi-annual trips & low rolling don't qualify me for much on the comp front.

It'll be fine and don't worry about it? Or I'm in for some hurt and I should book elsewhere?

I just stayed there on part of my trip. My room was not dirty, but the AC made a ticking noise(like a lifter tick in a car) and I asked them to fix it and it never was.

The check in process was on Kiosks only, which did make it fast, but the $20 tip trick goes out the window.

other than that, I’d say it was fine for a mid strip cheap room. Location is great. I don’t think I played there even once, I only played at Caesars on the strip part of my stay.

Stayed in mid May before reopening and visited a week ago. Room was better than I expected for the cost. Only issue at the time was the 20 minute wait at the elevator on a Wednesday. Crowd was like Flamingo and Ballys both times. I would stay again for the cost.

You can always ask for a different room if it's dirty or weedy.
The weed is around and not sure Harrah's would guarantee not running into the same.
Bring a mask, earplugs, rubber gloves and clorox wipes.

I was just there in June. I got a basic room with 2 beds. It was really cramped and a bad layout, but it was clean. The shower was missing the body wash dispenser but I bring my own anyway. I've read reviews about the long wait for elevators, but I didn't experience that at all. However, I was there mid-week so less crowds I'm sure. In the last year I've also stayed at Flamingo, Harrah's, and Bally's. The weed smell at Linq was pretty much the same as it was everywhere else, I mostly don't ever notice inside places, it's mainly on the strip it's noticeable.

I was there in May for a friends pool party. She was staying in a cabana room I think it’s called, that steps out onto the pool deck. Anyway, the elevators were super slow so some of us took the emergency stairs down one level to the casino, main level.
The place was packed on a Sunday afternoon. The smell of weed was everywhere.

I stayed there during march madness. Elevators were a nightmare especially during sunday checkout time. Took about 20 mins of waiting from the ~15th floor to get down and of course we stopped on every floor on the way down. Great location though and rooms were clean. No complaints there. Didn't check out the pool, so can't say much about that.

I’ve stayed there during rodeo week before, so busy. The rooms were small but clean. There was weed smell in the hallways but the rooms smelled fine. I didn’t have elevator issues…but found an elevator behind the elevators that no one seemed to know about. I think Linq is fine for that price range.

Thanks all, appreciate the feedback. I suspected that the reviews were biased towards the negative. Eased my worries a bit.
