First, I 100% understand if this thread gets capped. I would completely understand. There is another thread with firsthand experiences of boots on the ground in Vegas right now. I wonder if anyone has been to their local casino lately and what they saw (of course for people that don't have their locals closed)? We decided last night to hit up our local (Elements Casino Flamboro). We do sometimes go on a weekend but it would be usually after midnight so that the crowds have thinned out. We went last night about 11:30. In all honesty there wasn't much difference. Maybe 10 to 15% less people than normal? We stayed maybe 90 minutes and walked around and hit up some slots (as per usual came home lighter than we arrived).

Just curious if anyone else has went to their local lately?

Ameristar buffet is closed, Horseshoe buffet is open but they do not allow self service. (Uh, gimme some of the yella.)

Both have sanitizer dispensers all over the place. Soap dispensers in the LGR have a "Keep calm and wash your hands" sign on them and sanitizer dispensers have "Keep calm and sanitize" on them.

Otherwise it's more or less business as usual.

Was at Potawatomi on Friday and it was as busy as a Friday night usually is, with one exception... all the craps tables were $5.

That said, my bankroll cannot handle the lack of sports or other activities. Maybe its best of Wisconsin casinos shut down for a few weeks...

I was at MGM Springfield Wednesday and except for Purell dispensers outside the restroom entrances and a few people wiping down railings and such, it was business as usual. Managed to take them for $1000 off a blackjack table and $201..on a Buffalo collector machine..... they're gonna have to wait to get a shot ot getting some back.

I am thinking NJ, Gulf Coast and Vegas will be the last hold outs in terms of casinos closing or nearly shutting down. In the other states -- MA, Illinois, etc. -- the gaming industry is significant but not nearly as significant -- relative to other industries in the states -- as it is in the "original/early" gaming states like Nevada and New Jersey.

Governors of some other states have spoken out publicly and issued orders focused on closing pretty much every place that has more than 100/250/500 people gathered, understandably erring on the side of caution and being as aggressive as possible.

I can only imagine how much pressure the gaming industry in Nevada is putting on Nevada and Clark County government to NOT shut them down. TBD whether the casinos do that on their own.

Machines too? I was there around 3pm shooting craps, I thought the slot horde was a little light.

I was at Caesars Southern Indiana (formerly Horseshoe) last weekend and it was packed. The casino was so full it was hard to find a machine. The hotel was sold out. Now they are closed for 2 weeks.

No, but that is not a result of what’s happening right now, Maryland casinos are lame IMO.

Ameristar casino in St. Charles, MO, yesterday and Friday, looked like most shopping malls-pretty empty!

I was at MGM Springfield on Thursday for a work event and it seemed pretty quiet. Noticed some people wearing gloves and stuff. I believe MGM Springfield closed down at 6 am today.

We were there around 9:00 PM and I didn't notice the slot crowd being light.

I am wondering about Wisconsin casinos... since all in this state are tribal, I wonder if the process of "the State ordering them closed" is different than in nearby states with commercially owned properties like Illinois and Indiana.

Went to Ameristar St Charles this weekend also. Friday ok crowd but not typical business. Saturday night appeared pretty slow on the machines. I was there late in the evening though but rows of slots empty.

We were out driving around yesterday and drove by Snoqualmie Casino. There were more cars in the parking lot than I expected, but a little less than the average Saturday afternoon. We talked for a minute about going in to look around, but that wasn't the point of our outing, so we moved on.

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa last week. Jam packed, as always, taking into consideration the volume of snow birds during this time of year, not at all surprising.

Commerce Casino (LA area) had an employee test positive. All area casinos are closed: Hawaiian Gardens, Bicycle, Hollywood Park, The Gardens.

Honestly, I think it is probably for the better, but I do feel really bad for the employees.

Some of the Indian casinos in So Cal have announced closures as well - San Manuel, Pechanga, and Harrah's, so far.
