Harrahs Self Parking Garage

Good Morning,
My husband and I will be staying at Harrah's March 30-April 2.

My question is, since self parking is still free at Harrah's, is there a chance that the parking garage could be full? I have heard that this is a problem sometimes with the free self parking. And how long of a walk is it to the registration desk?

We will be arriving about noon, and we are planning on parking the car, and then for the 3 days, we are there, just taking the bus and walking, to get around. Basically we are just going to hang around mid strip and downtown.

We can also valet the car for $13.00 a day and that is a viable option as well, but I honestly hate the new fees with parking/valet parking.

Since you are arriving mid week, you should be in better shape than folks that arrive from Calif on Fri/Sat.

With a daily charge for Valet - that probably does not make sense. And, if you left something in the car, or want to take something to the car, you can easily do that if YOU parked it.

By the time you arrive, self parking for gold may very well not be free.

Thank you nostreehere for input. And I never thought about the the "needing something from the car or taking something to the car" thing. A very good point,indeed.

Any idea how far it is from self parking to the hotel reg. desk? We're not exactly lame, but I do know how far apart things in Vegas are. LOL

If I'm not mistaken, valet is right outside the doors that lead to the registrations desk and the parking garage is on the other side of valet. 5-10 minute walk, maybe?

Easy access garage at Harrahs. Not a bad walk from room elevators at all.

Now, I just have to figure out how to GET to the parking garage. LOL
