I wonder this too. Maybe they want the option, in case some Mardi Gras rooms get finished, to start filling those rooms, but without promising a certain tower.

I also wonder why they are calling them Deluxe - can't they think of something jazzier? Sounds like a cheeseburger :evillaugh:

That's what I was guessing, too. Gives them flexibility for now. Once the renovation is completed, I'd guess they'll start offering both towers by name again.

Yes but I booked back in January before any of the renovations started so am assuming I will get a new room in the Mountain Tower, worst case i will be in a Valley room which is fine too

when we were there in september the new mountain tower was still closed, the vip check in on the right as you enter
was closed with a sign that said pardon our dust.
daily it seemed a section or two of the lower slot area was taped off and then re-opened a day or two later.
looked like carpet being replaced and maybe newer machines...

    I got ya'll. Lol.
Just got back from my trip, 3 nights at Harrah's and 1 at Flamingo.
Here's the short story for Harrah's.
VIP Check-in is open, looks amazing with granite, and a coffee machine.
I had room 20019 (floor 20 room 019) in the Valley Tower. Sorry I didn't take pictures of the room but I can easily explain it.

There was a coffee machine, no refrigerator, lame iphone dock, vanity, nice lighting, HUGE mirror in the corner near the window.
Once again, the bathroom shower has that weird half-door thing so lots of water gets on the floor. It also has that dispensary for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
The bathroom sliding door is frosted glass, no lock, and is shared with the closet. A couple times I was in the safe and someone would come out of the bathroom and hit the safe's door.
Oh, another thing. We were rudely awaken around 7am by a loud BEEP every 60 seconds on Sunday. Yup, the smoke alarm battery was dying. Luckily engineering came up quickly and replaced the battery.
Let me know if you have anymore questions.

    Meh view.

My gf said to take a picture of the nice vanity.

Yeah, I wondered about the Mardi Gras rooms.

Laugh - I like that western view! I always try to get a western view, but the clerks rarely know which way is west. :blah: Will write down room numbers.

I thought room #s were on the folio, but they are not. I had some scribbled down from last time, plus Laugh's above. Seems like the odd number rooms may face west as they are all odd numbers.

You had a high roller view, right?

But I mean in September, or whenever you were there with the even numbered room, did you have a high roller room?
