Going to New Orleans soon. Unless the rates drop, we won't be staying at Harrah's, but nearby. Does anyone recall the play required for free parking? We will be staying nearby.

I sent the question to CET since it wasn't on the website, but NOSlimm might reply quicker with the answer.

I'm assuming that means 30 minutes of table play. I will get a TC number from CET and post it.

when you are ready, you can swipe at kiosk around the casino and in the tunnel heading to the garage. it will tell you if you need more minutes of play. if you pass 30, you swipe your card on the way out the garage. there is a machine and no attendants now

Interesting thread. If I drive to NOLA from Biloxi for a day trip what should we do/see in NOLA?

I can personally recommend Galatoire's ($$$$), Commander's Palace ($$$$, and make sure gentlemen wear a collared shirt) Couchon ($$$) or the St. James Cheese Company ($$)

Next trip in two weeks will be crawdads somewhere . . . .

    correct

good luck, you are coming at pretty much the end of the season, this year people will tell you it ender a few weeks ago. while I wont say you wont find any, it will be harder, usually damn near everywhere has them. as of about two weeks ago, the crawfish are what we call "Hard"...they dont soak up as much juice, the meat gets a lil tougher and the shell gets hard making them harder to peal...

CET came back with a definitive answer:

Thank you for contacting Harrah's New Orleans. Complimentary parking is offered to guests that are Total Rewards members. They must play for 30 minutes OR earn 15 tier credits while playing in the casino within a 24-hour period. Parking rates are subject to change.

15 TC on regular slots = $75 coin in.

And don’t forget to swipe your card at the kiosk to activate it as well. It’ll also tell you if you’ve earned it or not.

Does anyone know if there is a limit for Diamond / 7*?

Planning to stay comped at Harrahs NO for a few days before a 7 day cruise later this year.
Would they hit me for no play for those 7 days?

no, you would only be rated when the card is swiped to get your free parking, one in and one out...honestly, just valet it and you will be off the radar...if you are not a regular, valet attendant will check to make sure your players card matches the name on your ID, then they will give you a white ticket for Diamond and 7* free parking..when you go to get your car, you scan the ticket in the machine in the section between valet and the casino. car will be brought up and nothing ties you to being in the casino...
