So, if things go as I am hoping, I will be taking a long over due, unexpected 3 night solo trip to Vegas in less then 10 days. With that said, I have made some reservations.

Since I am going solo, I am not overly concerned about the room, but moreover location, however, I don't want to be in a total dump. When I called to make the reservation it appears that the best deal was for Harrah's (Saturday night has a small fee the other two nights are comped). The rep told me that all the rooms in Harrah's have been "recently renovated" and the Mardi Gras rooms are now one of the more sought after ones they have.

Can anyone shed any light on this, as it seems, most reviews I have found are not super favorable. Anything I should know before I go? Or should I ask for another tower etc? Also, off hand, is there a fridge in the rooms?

Also, is there something extraordinary going on the weekend of June 3rd? I only ask b/c this is the first ( maybe second) time, out of 11 visits that I am paying for a room at a CET property.

    Thanks a bunch:beer:

The Linq rooms do have fridges but they are turned off for "energy savings". I was just there 2 weeks ago. Really now. What's the point?
If you are diamond status at Harrah's you get a room with a fridge and coffee maker. I don't know about others.
My favorite room at Harrah's is the Mardi Gras Tower room at the very far end of the hallway...almost into the Carnival Tower. This room is actually closer to the Carnival Tower elevators than the Carnival rooms are...weird, but true. I like this room so much because I drive a lot in Las Vegas and I can go right down the Carnival Tower elevators to the garage to get to my car. When I walk to the Strip I go down my hallway in the Mardi Gras Tower to the Mardi Gras elevators and I'm already in the middle of the casino heading out to my Strip destination. Also, this end room is an odd shape that gives the room a lot of character.

Thanks guys. In the end there's been some changes and I'll be staying at Plaza anyway.

But again, thank you for the info:)
