Had dinner at Center Cut steakhouse, I got the dry aged skirt steak and my boyfriend got the prime rib. We split delicious buttery mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was creamy, orchettie was perfectly Al dente, and the mash was great (but ain't got nothing on Jose's at Bazaar!). Our waiter was fucking awesome. The food came out quick, but tasted delightful.

We haven't had a nice meal out in a while coz we're trying to save money, so using $40TR credits toward this was nice. :)

Afterward, we went to gamble a tad at Harrah's, so I earned some more Tier credits. Spent a time in high limit playing a quarter game at $2.00 a spin, put $5 in at a time and cashed out a voucher when I won. The bill breaker screen is the result - not bad!

PSX_20180414_223012.jpg It's now 10:40p and the night is still young. My favorite hole in the wall is calling my name. Time to jam at Casino Royale. :D

I think you can wave to me later. We are at Platinum and can see the back side of Harrah's.

    That's awesome @pebbles ! Hope you're having a great night!

Gamed for just over 2 hours at Royale, took $20 out of the ATM twice. Brings me to $360 gaming total between Laughlin and here, and I'll be going home tomorrow with $90 of it. Not too bad for an adventure trip!

The usual suspects are still there: both Sex & The City games (except Platinum! Bring it baaaack!), Wonka 3 reel, Britney.. .

Played Britney Spears most of the night, but she wasn't as good to me as she had been the last 2 trips. Oh well! Then I bounced to Game of Thrones and that Tim McGraw game for a hot minute. I don't even like country music!

Finished up on this weird IGT game called salsa something. It was hilarious. $0.75c spin and up gives you a reel multiplier, and there's this party time bonus with free spins. The symbols cluster together and you either get symbol upgrades or wild upgrades. It was fun!

Now back at the room to snooze before our drive home tomorrow. :)

Thanks Steph! No jackpots but the room was definitely reward enough for such a short stay. The spa tub was awesome!

Thanks so much @Richard Alpert ! Glad you had an enjoyable read! I can't believe we packed so much into this weekend, and it doesn't feel exhausting! What a great weekend full of adventure!

Ugh good luck with the snow - that sucks!

Haha @LV2GAMBLE yes it did, and it was a good shower. The spa tub was excellent too - they also sell bath bombs and bubbles downstairs so you could almost stay there all night. ;)

Bye bye Las Vegasss! Till next time (hopefully my birthday, hopefully a week or so in duration)!

Got breakfast of champions at Jack n the Box - sausage egg n cheese (extra cheese, who needs an egg), and mini pancakes.
My new stuffed sand lizard is riding along with us. I gotta name 'm! Suggestions?

Will post a wrap up when I get home! Thanks for following along guys!

Thanks @Rush ! It was pretty cool being able to experience two cities in one weekend, with lots of other cool places thrown in. :D

@Richard Alpert - thank you!! I got 'm for $2 at the camp store near Cottonwood Cove, he's real cute. That's a good suggestion! :)

I think the lizard is female; Camille.

Fun report; you are far too young to spend more than a night in Laughlin so happy you made it to Vegas.

I was feeling nostalgic for Harrahs reading your report. Harrahs, then called the Holiday Inn Ship on the Strip, was my first Vegas hotel 36 years ago. I really should stay at Harrahs for a night or two sometime...the renovations look good.

Thanks for the adjustment, @breanna61 !

Haha my dad said the same thing about Laughlin. I kind of enjoyed the slow pace and lower-denoms on my favorite games - no pressure to bet too high, cuz unless you venture to high limit, ya can't! It was also cool seeing the Colorado River, and walk around. If offered a teaser from Aquarius, I would consider staying there for a night or two. :) But you're right, totally different vibe than Vegas - and Vegas has more for us youngins to do.

I would definitely recommend giving Harrah's LV a re-stay. Rooms tend to be affordable, and the renovation looks great. I'd definitely pick them over the Monte Carlo renovation.

    WRAP-UP:

I'm very glad I got to take this trip with my boyfriend at all - he's hellbent on saving money in case we end up moving to AZ next month (not a bad thing! I just thought we deserved a little vacation) .

I was glad to experience Laughlin despite our bad experience at Harrah's there. Boyfriend thinks that someone OD'd in the room across from us, early in the morning around 6:25 he heard security say something about "taking her out in restraints" on top of all the other activity. Ugh.

Walking around the riverwalk was super cool (so many birds!), and the Regency, Aquarius, and Colorado Belle were neat. It seemed like, even though it wasn't Vegas, there was a good variety of food within walking distance.
I'm a little bummed we didn't venture to Tropicana or Golden Nugget, or Don Laughlin's Riverside Casino, but next time!!

I'm really glad my boyfriend has a sense of adventure. It was awesome seeing the Hoover Dam for the first time, going between 2 states at once, learning about all the work and energy that went into creating it, as well as the purpose it serves within multiple states. Incredible!
Cottonwood Cove seems like an excellent place for us to go camping! He wanted us to nab a cabin there Saturday night, but it was already 3:30p by the time we got there, and he didn't have swim trunks so the lake was out.... so we headed to Vegas, and I'm glad we did.

The slots in Vegas weren't as good to me this time, but I still had lots of fun between Harrah's and Royale, and left with a little bit of money! We may be moving to AZ next month, so I'm glad we got a little break inbetween potential prepping for that.

Now I'm even more excited to plan my birthday trip for summer (potentially fall depending on money)!

    Thanks everyone for following along!

"We found a bag of snacks in the shitter"

Yup, sounds like Laughlin to me! Check back in on Laughlin when you cross 65. Your entire outlook on the place will change then.

Those ribs in Laughlin looked great. And nice score on the upgrade at Harrah's.

@Gaggles - the ribs were fantastic, and the pulled pork was phenomenal.

@Grid - HA! Amazing. Yeah, we'll see how it is when I'm old....till then, Vegas baby!

@Burnsie - it actually was nice, the whole no-pressure thing. Glad you enjoyed the read! :)
