    Congrats on the hand pay!!

I noticed the same things about the slots... They really weren't cleaning them like I thought they would, which was rather disappointing!

I just realized I never finished up my report [emoji1751]

We played until about 2am, with no additional hits and losing our budget for the day. As always, we should have quit while ahead [emoji23]

Tuesday 5/26, morning we ordered room service for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. We were actually able to use RCs and the food was hot and delicious. "Free" good food is always a win!

Our plan was to drive around and do a little hiking but the weather was crap so we decided to hike to the casino instead & play some BJ.

We were surprised that there were only 3 BJ tables open, all $25 minimum. We typically play $25 tables but we're just not feeling it, so decided to give the slots another run. Outside of one hit, it was horrible. We would hit a little to keep us playing but never a solid win.

Decided to take a break for lunch. We wandered over to the food court and found that you no longer had to carry your food to the room, woohoo! During lunch we decided that given the weather and just the overall mood in the casino we would leave that afternoon instead of in the morning as planned. We played for a couple more hours, again no notable hits and called it done.

    Final observations:
    - we found the casino rather empty both days which was good considering that their enhanced cleaning, well, wasn't enhanced.
    - I don't know why, but the overall mood was blah. The employees didn't seem to be happy to be back with the exception of a couple of cocktail servers.
    - the whole situation was very fluid... You can only eat in your room to food court and restaurants open for dine-in... Laurel Lounge not open to open for drinks only... beverage stations closed on Monday, but open on Tuesday etc..
    - gambling was pretty typical for Cherokee; $2,500 yielded 9,900 TCs for my husband, and just a few hundred TCs for me

Sorry for the delayed wrap up! I warned y'all I had never done this before[IMG]

Expect every business to lie about how much actually cleaning they will do and you won't be disappoint. My local grocery store said they were going to clean the self service check out after each customer, that lasted less than 1 week. Business and employees will cut corners, face it doing proper cleaning (smearing germs from one area to a larger area is not proper cleaning) for 8 hour straight is hard work and at $10/hr you get what you pay for.

I've never visited this casino but your observations @saint999girl and @SClinahoo were both entertaining (photos of the drive and slot wins!) and informative. I was a germ freak even pre-Covid so the extent casinos are actually cleaning the machines -- as opposed to their policies that just talk about how they are being cleaned -- is what I am very interested in hearing about first hand, so thanks for that info. Even with the normal meticulousness of Wynn and Encore, where I hope to be in August, I'll still bring my Lysol or Clorox wipes (I always did as well @SClinahoo) and will wipe my machine down before playing.

Flowers, you and I both spend time at Wynn and I was there March 5 to 9 (Las Vegas casinos closed the 17th but the strip was being vacated by the time I left) and I will say that Wynn employees were diligently and visibly wiping down machines constantly the entire time I was there. That said, it is unreasonable to anticipate that their zeal for doing so will not wane considerably. My deisre to return to Vegas is tempered by my refusal to board an airplane any time soon. The airline industry has reflected over the past 20 years they simply do not care for their customers.

I hear [email protected] I have a lot of confidence across the board in the Wynn operations and leadership, as I do with some other corporate leaders, including the head of the company for which I work, but I'm still personally going to be as vigilant with my own safety as I reasonably can be.

I am planning to return in August and I'll be flying Jet Blue. I have some concerns with flying generally until there is a vaccine (and I love flying), but what struck me about the airlines were pretty significant differences in terms of safety practices between and among them early during the crisis. They all now are doing more, and I believe Jet Blue is doing the most (e.g., middle seats are blocked out on my both of my flights in mid-late August, including in first class), but yeah, being in a big box in the air with a good number of people, some of who may be ill, presents challenges no matter how vigilant an airline may be.
