Hard Rock International Hints at Vegas Property after Earning Rights to Hard Rock Las Vegas

I saw it suggested that maybe Palms would be of interest to them too, but the article makes it sound like they might be looking at Strip properties specifically.

Shouldn't be tough to find a property to buy in the near future.

Heard a rumor for Bally's too. Curious to see if they would leave it connected to Paris, or would revamp that whole area.

Bally’s is the rumour going around at the moment. I kind of feel like Planet Hollywood would be the ideal purchase though.

Yeah I read the same, buy it and raze it. From the curb, Bally's looks like a pretty dumpy property, so I can't imagine they would buy it and just rebrand it.

Pretty bold to be making investment plans in Vegas right now. Not wrong, just bold.

There's still a lot to be learned about what post covid Vegas looks like from a business standpoint.

They could probably get Rio for pennies on the dollar.

In my not so humble opinion, they probably want a true Strip location.

Hard Rock and PHO would be the ideal place to be on the Strip. Both are affiliated with the younger club crowd. Bally's is the opposite, an older clientele that prefers a quieter place to stay/play. You don't transition a property to be something else entirely. That's bad business.
Also, keep in mind that PHO has a Mall. What do Malls like?........the younger clientele shopping to their hearts desire. That's where Valley girls spend their time during the day...a pool/shopping. Then when night comes around, dance their gambling money away.

A Hard Rock Hotel/Casino just a crosswalk away from Cosmo and towards the South Strip could make a major dent in those properties. The actual physical distance between Bally's/PHO is negligible, they are both Mid Strip properties, but realistically, Bally's/PHO is many miles apart.

Most of us admit the pool at PHO sucks. (I mean, it's wet & fine, but also, a concrete hole in the ground...) Is there enough space to do anything interesting there? PHo wasn't always a young hip spot - it was Aladdin and I don't recall that having a young vibe. I mean - I loved it, but I was never hip even when I was young ;-) So I don't think it's impossible they could take Ballys and completely redo it into what they want. Just takes money....

I could see Ballys if they build something in the area next to the strip where the flea market tents are. I saw plans once for a casino/tower in that space when it was still the whale bone.

How do you think the walkway between Bally's and Paris would effect a sale of Bally's? Would they have to wall off that area, or would they keep it? I have always liked being able to wander to another casino without having to go outside.

Probably about the same as the tram between TI and Mirage once TI was sold.

Doesn’t Bally’s and Paris share the same casino license? How would a potential Bally’s sale happen to hard rock then?

Are you sure on that? I would think that if they did, cash-out tickets from machines at one would work at the other, which they did not the last time I tried.

This is the same Hard Rock that was off the strip, yeah? They closed that place and a year later they want a spot on the strip?
