So I am very much a guy who likes to limit my gaming to LV. However, I am sure with an outfit like Hard Rock taking the lead in this project it will certainly be an improvement to the "local" casino.

Nice to see the government getting out of the way and letting the professionals run it.

As far as building a beautiful and luxurious property, absolutely. I think the Hard Rock here (Tampa, FL.) is larger than every casino in LV, and will be one of the largest in the world after the new hotel and it's gaming floor opens up. Here's the pig in the poke so to speak Scott: the gambling will be abysmal. 6:5 bad rules blackjack with high table minimums and 6 to 8 decks as far as the eye can see. Lousy paytables VP, incredibly tight slot machines. Also, full pay drinks whether you're on the floor on a slot, a poker or bj table. Full price drinks at the bar also...But you will have great restaurants, a gorgeous hotel (with really expensive rates btw), and probably a great pool...

From what I understand, that is how the property is being currently run. The provincial government has a crown corp running it. So you can just imagine the level of service or payouts with burocrats in managment.

Gino, you are right it will just be a nicer looking rip-off joint when they are done, but better food, service and entertainment. As someone who doesn't play locally, doubt this will be enough to entice me in.

I realized long ago that Biloxi, Tunica, Atlantic City (sometimes) and Las Vegas were much better gaming options - even with airfare - and a much better bang for your buck than regular play at the Hard Rock here in Tampa.
