According to the brochure which shows all the perks of the Rock Royalty tier, it costs $10 in comps per person for the the buffet or the Rock Royalty lounge so by receiving $80 in comps it allows you 8 admissions if you want to use it for that. We will be staying there next weekend so I will try each and see how good or bad they are. I have to believe the buffet will be better than when it was the Taj because that buffet was terrible.
The drink service on the casino floor was pretty quick considering how crowded it was. You order on your slot machine and it shows the progress. I think the longest I waited was about 7 or 8 minutes and the drinks were good.

That would make sense, especially if you figure a buffet is $40 so that knocks out two. Then you just have the comp lounge entry and the tix which are both easy to do. Like you. I prefer the have the comp dollars.

Ocean is no longer matching Hard Rock. So, there goes that.

I was shocked they matched in the first place but, being honest, the appeal dropped a tad. Still taking the match and the room, and waiting for numbers to drop to see if I can benefit from the 3X tier earning promo. I didn't care about Ocean's lack of decent sign up promos, but this made up for it. However, no free parking and no waived resort fees for Platinum level is no bueno. The property is one of my favorites anywhere, but I can't see putting it into rotation and having fees thrown in that I pay almost nowhere else. I'll make a couple of stays per year, and that's it.

It's unadvertised, but they are matching Hard Rock Elite and Rock Royalty to Ocean Gold. They claim they changed the match due to Hard Rock's tier requirements.

Craps is almost all '5x odds' in AC. Borgata has 3-4-5x odds. Oceans had one $10 craps table with 10x odds last night (Friday). Bally's may also have 10x odds, but I haven't played there in a while.
Vp is poor in both Oceans and Hard Rock. At the $1 level there is 9/5 JoB and 7/5 BP. That's the best I could find.
It is $10comp for entry into the Harvest Buffet or the Player's Lounge. The HB has a brunch that has smoked salmon, white fish salad and poached salmon for $29.95. I'm hoping to use $comp to gain entry. I'm not sure if I can bring 3 guests at one time.
HR told me that their comp system is NOT combined with LV and that any comps I earn are only for this property. I am not sure if having a Rock Royalty card on my next trip to LV will amount to any benefit...but you can be sure I'll try!

Here's the progressive. I'm not sure if $2,387 is at positive expectation but the regular payout is only $1,000.[IMG][IMG]

Yes, but with HR it's 5X or bust. Not the case with other properties (can't speak for Trop).

Sorry, meaning you bet 5X or nothing. No breakage.

I was just playing there the past 2 days and I was playing 2x and 3x odds. The table played just like a 5x table anywhere else.

That means they're not really enforcing it or they changed it, which is good. They told me that 2 weeks ago, and Travelzork reported it a couple of days ago after they opened. That works for me!

I was back at Hard Rock yesterday for a few hours. Took advantage of the $10 comp buffet for Rock Royalty. The buffet was pretty good - it is not on the same level as Borgata or even Harrah’s but they did have enough variety that I would probably return. They have an Italian section with pizza and pasta, Asian with pot stickers, lo mein, fried rice, Carving board with prime rib -that was actually very good, roast pork and rotisserie chicken and seafood section with cold shrimp, clams on the half shell and paella. The deserts included gelato, pastries, tiramisu, bread pudding. There is also a salad bar. For those who wondered they have Pepsi products. I will check out the the Rock Royalty lounge when we stay there next weekend.

Annnddd, just like that Ocean has restored the original match to Hard Rock. Plus they are adding freeplay in addition to the already announced tier room promo. You get $50 and one comp night for Platinum, $100 and two nights for Black.

I was just going to post that I received an email last night from Ocean thanking me for upgrading and they were adding $100 freeplay to my account. I’m sure a lot of people were vocal about not receiving much for upgrading to the top card and they were smart enough to correct their mistake.

As of yesterday, this is how the Hard Rock match went for TR Diamond of Mlife Gold.

$150 in Free Play. 2 nights comped on a future stay, some restrictions like day of the week or black out dates. 2 free buffet passes OR lounge passes. They are not loading $80 on your card. You swipe at a kiosk and print either or on the spot. 2 comedy club tickets, swipe at the same machine and print them out. And if you gamble for 1 hour you get a T- Shirt. I assume this is to keep people from taking the free play, converting it and leaving.

I passed on the shirt, only put in 30 mins of play. I couldn't use the room, since Borgata flies me in to town. I didn't use the buffet since it was packed, and I mean packed. And the Lounge was not open when we were there. The Comedy Club was also a pass, since we did not plan on being on the Boardwalk when it was open.

Went to Oceans. $100 in Free Play and 2 nights comped. Not sure what restrictions that held.

At Ocean, if you upgrade to their top card (Black) you also get 2 comp nights with no resort fees. I was able to get a Saturday and Sunday in mid August so I was happy. Rooms have to be used by September 30th.
