Just want to say Happy New Year. We went out for lunch and had a few cocktails. Now we are safely home for the night. If you do go out, be careful. :poke::drunk:

Our NYE guests called to cancel so we're going to carefully slide out our icy driveway and go out to see Rogue One.
I prepared a nice meat and cheese tray that we can enjoy when we return home to countdown to 2017.

No precp here, but still make it a habit to not go out on NYE. Too many amateurs on the road.

I worked for a long time in a business that was 24/7 and driving home, at night, on NYE was scaring as hell.

We had a ton of rain on Christmas Night up here. We even had thunder & lightning. Most driveways and a lot of the side roads have been skating rinks since then.
Our guests had to cancel because my buddy's better half slipped and had a major fall in their driveway.
Weather hasn't been too bad this week. I see another cold snap is coming mid-week...

Anyways, we'll drive carefully and get back to Alpert Acres in one piece!

Happy New Year to you as well Joe and to my fellow VMBers - enjoy your evening everyone.

We are staying home - hubby is baking a cheese cake. I am in my pj's but he's telling me to put on a nice dress for the evening - and I am saying "but we're not going anywhere". lol - I should try to look a bit decent for an evening at home.

I plan to stay home tonite, my family will visit the in-laws. I'm still nursing this nagging illness I have since I started my Vegas trip a week ago and I still have it.

But such is life. I'll drink soup and watch movies on Netflix.
 
We are watching our great grandson tonight. We will go to the neighborhood bar tomorrow afternoon and celebrate. Happy New Year to all of you.
 
Happy New Year all, it's 2017 here already in the U.K., nothing much has changed......!

Grandsons are visiting (6 & 8) and they can't wait to blow their grandpa's bugle - Crazy grandpa I might add. They get to do it at 9pm and off to bed since they've been promised an owl prowl at 6am by, as I said, crazy grandpa.

We made it home safely, @Joe!
Last meal of the year at DQ. Rogue One was awesome!
Now on to the cheese tray!
