Most of the time when I get hand pays, they pay me at the machine and count it all as they place it into my hand. However, a few times, they have brought me money that was "already counted", either $5,000 with a 5k band around it or $2,000 with a paper clip. Those payments seem to be made by a casino manager type, not the change girl. In those cases, would you ask them to count that money as well in front of you?

    Thanks

The only time I've had a handpay it was for 6,8k and they did count from 1 to 68 while handing over the hundos. There was 5k with a band around the money but it was removed.

My slot hand pays have always been counted out when delivered to me. $3k is my biggest slot payout. I hit a $9600 jackpot on a table game, but took that as a check. Not sure what I would do if they just handed it to me already bundled,

I always tell them they don't have to count it, it's a waste of time and I don't like to call the attention to myself. They count and double count it at the cage, and it's video taped. They're not going to risk losing their job and going to jail to squirrel out a hundred or two. Some places they are required to count it out.

The times my hand pays have come with the 5k band(s), they have always offered to open and count it, but I decline, it's easier to carry to the room intact. I trust that it's accurate. It's always been accurate when DH stashes it in the safe.
Of course when it gets to the bank, they count it!!!

Next time I get paid like that, I will use it to buy in at the crap table and insist that they don't need to count it. Lol

A few years ago, opening NFL sunday, sitting at the Rio sportsbook bar next to a guy playing DDB for $5 denom..He hits 4 aces wk and they gave him a banded stack.Congratulations all around from the bartenders and myself....meanwhile I'm playing my shitty $.25 max play and hitting nothing,No more than 15-20 minutes later he taps me on the shoulder and points to his machine..Another Aces with Kicker and DEALT..so the girls come back with another stack which he puts in his right pocket this time...after the paperwork of course..
Bartender told me the next day he was a local and I guess playing that denom for sessions all the time the win(s) not that shocking as it was to me..But twice in 20 minutes? Jeez

Completely OT but what a dick move by him to start tapping people and showing off their win. No class imo.

Don't think so..he wasn't a dick with the first payout tipped the bartenders,girls..Kinda think he tapped me cause he was shocked on getting another so soon and actually dealt..I think real dicks in the casino are at a craps table where you roll the dice and hit their numbers, they make a ton of $ and get no chips tossed your way..
but sorry to get this thread off the rails.

I would never accept any amount of cash without counting it upon receiving it. Not doubting their honesty, just that mistakes do happen.

I don't see how counting money is any more attention on you than that big Jackpot lit up on your screen. Yeah, I want them to count it. I'll ask for a check for anything over $5K.

More people seem to pay attention when they're counting out a bunch of hundreds in cash in your hand, in my experience. A lot of people don't even notice when the machine hits a jackpot.

I've gotten lots of people stopping to make comments on my Royals when they see the Jackpot lit up. Of course they can't help a slot attendant doing a handy. I've had three $10K+ Jackpots last year, those I got checks. I seldom leave a machine after one of those hits because I feel that the machine is lucky. Under $5K in Vegas CET gives cash, so those are at risk. I still make em count it. S---t happens.

when i won 50 k they did it in the machine with 2 suppervisors. large hand pays they use machines, small ones i just take them.

i was at mgm almost ever other machine in the hl room was hitting. but at that level your talking 3 k to a 100k and up.

    same thing at bellagio

if its banded they have there intails on it, i dont count it

If it's in a money wrapper I trust that it's accurate. They double check those. I always tell them there's no need to count it out.

    LOL, notice how they will always count out that last hundred very obviously in 20s! :) " ... and $20 {hint!} $40 {hint!} $60 {hint!} $80 {hint!} ..." :)
