Here goes nothing. I can see I'll need a diary next time. Here's my report in no particular order. Got in late about midnight and started to hunt for our friends who didn't know we were coming. We had been pumping them for info for three weeks so we could surprise them. I called several times and could only get her(KASEY) voice mail. We started to look in the casino but couldn't find them. My wife(TONI) called the front desk and was told they hadn't checked in yet. Well their plane took off 2 hrs. before ours so what the hell was going on. I finally got her cell and told her I was in Ohio and couldn't sleep and wondered how they were doing. She said they were at bagage claim and the flight was 3 hrs. late. I gave her a oh no and told her to call Ohio time if they won anything good. We waited about 35 min. and went to the checkin at Circus Circus planning to snap a picture when they walked in. I had rented an electric cart and when I came around the corner Troy saw me. They just walked in 1 min. earlier. He started yelling Bino its Bino. Kasey told him to be quiet that it was just someone who looked like me. Troy kept yelling Bino until Kasey turned around and saw my wife. She started shaking and laughing. When she saw me she called me an sob 4 times. After we got checked in we headed for drinks and gambling til we were all whipped and called it a night. Day 1. Gambling by 6:00 a.m. Kasey sat up a $60 meal comp and VIP line pass for breakfast. David, the Pink Pony was actually pretty good. The restaurant is down 5 or 6 steps and I didn't know what to do with my cart. Some employee showed me an elevator so I drove my scooter on and went down the 4 or 5 feet. When we finished eating I drove back to the elevator and started up. Half way up it stopped. Wouldn't go up or down. Every waitress and busboy and security cop tried pushing the button on top(casino) and below(restaurant) but nothing worked. So here is my 350 pound fat ass in a 3 foot by 4 foot glass doored coffin. I have claustrophobia but I didn't let it get me. Toni and Kasey walked by and told me I was between floors. My reply of no shit sent them to their knees laughing. Everyone in the Pink Pony and in the casino could see me. I figured I might as well have Toni snap a picture. After 20 min. a maintenance man came and rescued me. The rest of the day was gambling and drinking and casino stops. I think we went to Slots o fun, Westward Ho, Frontier and Treasure Island. Day 2. It might have been day 1 when I missed Dr. Al every thing is a blur. We went to the Palms for the best video poker in Vegas and after a pretty good ass kickin I got hot. I caught 4 Aces w/ a 2-3-or 4 on double double bonus twice for $500 each. I had some other 4 of a kinds and cashed in for 1300. Troy was just as hot but the girls couldn't get anything going. We headed for the Courtyard Carnival at Harrahs and were lucky to get 4 seats at the bar. If you have never been there your'e missing a good time. The flair bartenders had everyone amazed. There was more ice and booze flying than a Polish-Italian wedding. The afternoon girl put a toothpick in her mouth and was throwing cherries in the air and catching them on the toothpick. More gambling and drinking and we surrendered at midnight. Day 3. Toni and I took off to the Riviera then to Sahara then Strat. Has anyone seen old Elvis at Riviera? Toni says she thinks he works there. He's about 70 walks w/ a cane. Has jet black hair w/ the signature sideburns and wears a brown either snake skin or alligator suit. He's a real beauty. Gambled and drank the rest of the day. Troy and Kasey went back to the Palms and Rio. Troy did pretty good at video poker and Kasey won about $2000 at 3 card poker. Day 4. 6 a.m. again. Ate breakfast at Pink Pony and headed downtown. We had never been there so we tried to jamb as much as we could in. I know we stopped at the Fitz. 4 Queens, Binions and L.V. Club. Tried to see some WSOP at Binions but it was way to crowded. The L.V. Club is supposed to be the 2nd best video poker in Vegas so we made it a point to play there. Toni was getting really depressed from losing. I found her a 10/7 double bonus machine. She put in a $10 and realized it was a $.50 machine. Since we usually only play $.25 she was even more depressed. She decided to play it out and was dealt A-K-Q-J of clubs. She drew 1`card and sure as hell it was the 10 of clubs. $2000 will make depression go away in a hurry. We went back to the Circus and had a very good $11.95 prime rib. I couldn't piss a drop and after playing ahead for 3 days I had to get into my money. I figured what the hell we have been here 4 days so this is a cheap trip. I finally got untracked and started hitting quads at video poker and was back up $300. It was getting near our time to head for the plane so I was giving it all I had. When I jumped to another machine I was dealt A-Q-J-5 of spades and 9 of diamonds. I threw away the 5-9 and sure as hell the K-10 of spades. Another $1000 for this smilin fat bastard. Kasey had just hit 3-9s at three card poker for $800 and was getting pretty well lit. We were having to much fun but had to say our good byes. All together I think we hit 19 casinos. I forgot I played some $3-$6 holdem. It should have been an easy game with 2 players that had never played before and only 2 others with any talent. But even with raises you couldn't get them out. I was betting or raising trip 3s and three players called til the end and caught an ace on the river for a strait. I was $30 up so I headed back to VP. When we got checked in at the airport I played some double bonus and hit 4 Qs for $70. Now thats the way to end a trip. Ohio Bino
"There was more ice and booze flying than a Polish-Italian wedding." Classic! If the details are sketchy, it was a good trip. But it sounds like your luck at the machines was better than mine, which is a good thing. Nice report, hopefully we'll run into each other another time.
Ohio... you still got me laughing as I'm typing this Great post! Really glad to hear you had a nice trip with some nice hits. Sorry to hear about the elavator problem, but you'll be glad you took the picture for old time sake!
Did you leave some fun for us? I would call that a great time in Vegas... seems you came home ahead or at least not down. Bob
Love it!! Your bartender at Carnaval court sounds like the one we had last fall - Robyn, from upstate NY (Syracuse maybe?). She was awesome! Kitty
Thanks for the trip report.. I love the Courtyard Carnival at Harrahs, it so fun there, we always get one of our nights started there.
Kikky, it was Robyn at Carnival Court. She put on quite a show. For those of you who are single she was pretty hot too. Imagine finding a chick that could mix drinks like that. Ohio Bino
She was pretty hot. The funny thing was, I was with my two best friends (females) and my hubby. Hubby was boring and ordered a coke. We women were having fun ordering drinks. Robyn was flirting more with us than with him - but I think at least part of it was because we were the ones buying the alcohol. Robyn got my friend totally hooked on apple martinis, btw! Kitty
