    My Trip Report

First photo: obligatory pets sad to see the suitcase look.

Last load of laundry is in. I hate packing and love procrastinating so here we are. The whole weekend to prepare and I’m doing it all Sunday evening.

There are a few TR going this week, this one will probably be a bit boring, but Vegas loves us all and we love Vegas.

I really need a change of scene so this is just the ticket. I don’t have any set plans. I usually stick to one or 2 casinos. I have a ticket to Opium but it was so cheap if I don’t make it, no harm. From myVEGAS I have $25 and $50 freeplay and one free breakfast/lunch and one free dinner buffet. I am on a 4 night comp with the famous “call for freeplay” surprise amt and $100 f/b credit. I received the golden ticket in the form of a corner suite upgrade email for $75. We’ll see how that works out. If it isn’t a great view I might try to negotiate another suite. I don’t mind the walk for a good view but not for the 6th floor watching the monorail go by all night.

Believe it or not I eat mainly veggies and lean meat just to maintain my pudgy figure. Old age sucks. I use this Fantasy camp experience to pig out on pizza and carbs. Most of my food porn will not be very fancy.

I am doing this TR because I don’t have any gambling friends who can relate and I hope I can share some info that might be helpful. I’ve learned so much here I’d like to reciprocate if I can.

I have my own business making custom products. It’s one of those might as well do something I enjoy projects after I was outsourced a few years ago at 57. Not exactly a success, but I haven’t tapped out the 401k yet. Instead of working to make stuff for an upcoming artist show at my local downtown library I was busy making fun gambling stuff for myself. I made some tiny temporary tattoos and had the lady at the nail salon put them on my nails. At first I worried I was too old for it, but I really don’t care. I’m adding pics of the stuff I made.

I find most TRs enjoyable, and I bet yours will be, too! We don't have gambling friends or coworkers either, so hurray for these Vegas forums! It's fun to be able to post about wins (and mean machines), and things we do and see, to people who "get it"!

Good luck on the suite upgrade, and on the gambol! Have a fun trip!

    **Edit:
Love the nails, and no, you are not too old!! It's your trip, do it your way!!

Love the Airplane! reference in the title. I think Cosmo still has an Airplane slot near VaBene

I love the kitties, nothing like that poor-abandoned-orphan look they give you when they know you're leaving. Good luck on your trip, and have fun.

Aww your cats look so gorgeous! Maine Coons are fun, but mischievous! How old are they? :)

Have an amazing trip and win big! Vegas doesn't look at age ;) Hopefully you eat some good food and enjoy yourself!

First win of the trip - I breezed through tsa. I have precheck but wear a prosthesis and in these small airports it normally causes a panic. Why are these people not trained about these things? First the screener asked if I could take it off. Ummm, no. It’s all the way to the hip so duh. Luckily there was a supervisor with a brain nearby and told her to swab my hands and waist and let me go.

I have travelled all over the world and have found that small town airports are staffed with nice people but usually clueless. I grew up in Chicago and lived all over but usually big cities. Now I enjoy my small town except when I travel. The only place you can get directly from this airport is the parking lot. I think I did get to a direct to Chicago once, otherwise it’s the dreaded layover.

I probably won’t update until the end of the day. I’ll pay for first class but no way I’m gonna get ripped off for WiFi. :haha:

Paprika, the brown one, is 3. Aspen, my grey girl is 5. Paprika has a heart defect but you’d never know it. She is always running around and getting into trouble. Aspen is my couch potato. She sit in any available lap. Aspen was a breeding cat who had trouble with delivering. I take the ones that need good homes. My last cat, Esmeralda (my screen name) was also a Maine coon. They are so funny and spirited they can be addicting.
