Gronk and a 7 rd pick for a 4 round pick.
    Excellent move by Bucs

The Patriots are sending Gronkowski and a seventh-round pick to the Buccaneers for a fourth-round selection, per ESPN. The Buccaneers hold the 117th and 139th overall picks in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The Patriots hold the 230th and 241st overall picks in the seventh round. Gronkowski will reunite with former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady with the Buccaneers. This might seem like low compensation, but the Patriots’ hands were tied. If Gronkowski applied for reinstatement, he would have counted nearly $10 million against their salary cap. The Patriots have just over $1 million in cap space.

Gronk? I thought he was totally out of it. Kept complaining how hard it was to continue the grind, etc. etc.

Guess with the right amount of money, anything's possible. Now, did Gronk sign a contract? Or is this just about the rights to Gronk? News outlets are mentioning him passing his physical already.

Guess the money wasn't that good outside of the game so he needed to come back to pad his retirement savings.

he still had 1 year and 10 million left on his Patriots contract before retiring so that’s essentially what he’s being paid.

As for his money, Gronk was like Marshawn Lynch. They only spent their endorsement money and saved all of their NFL salary. Gronk doesn’t need the money, more so was a good chance to come back to a new team with a familiar face.

@rooster42000 So my question to you is...are you a Bucs fan now or Patriots? I remember when the niners traded Montana. I had been a niner fan since I was little and remember going completely off my rocker when they traded him. I have hated them since that day, which made the Super Bowl win soooooo much sweeter.

I didn't know that about Gronk. I thought he turned professional wrestler.

I am pretty excited about this. This is not about money for Gronk. After a year of not getting the shit kicked out of him, I suspect he is in much better shape than the last year that he played. And the connection between he and Brady on the field is magical. This is going to be a blast to watch. If it wasn't for those godawful uniforms, I'd be buying jerseys!

I read his book a couple years ago. He fought like hell to overcome injuries in college and in the pros. He is much brighter than he gets credit for, and he is very, very good at taking care of his money. He is a pretty interesting guy.

I am Brady fan. But I might be wrong , I think he is far from the promised land (Super Bowl ) with that team. Hope I am wrong.

Bucs just trying to find the guys to get them a Super Bowl championship. They see Brady and Gronkowski hopefully can come thru. Worry about both guys health, it only takes one clean shot to destroy the “dream”.
I wish them luck, I have always respected both guys talent.
