Very sad news. I always relied on Greg's reports when making my entertainment plans in Vegas. I had hoped to meet him one day but our trips never coincided. RIP GregRio.

OMG!!! I am just now seeing this. Greg had helped me with show information so many times over the last 12 years and always so willing and happy to do so. A true gentleman. I don't even know how many trip reports of his that I have read. So sad! I still have a thread of private messages where we were sharing opinions on the Elton John show, just recently.

Greg is probably up there hanging with his buddies....the Rat Pack...Danny Gans....and the like....getting the best view he's ever had. RIP Greg, you will be forever missed!!

I've been a part of this board for about 10 years (mostly passive) and only about 15 people have left lasting impressions on me. Greg was one of them. I am not a 'show' person at all but always enjoyed his posts and especially his trip reports....you could tell he loved Vegas, shows and he had a passion for life.

    R.I.P GregRio, we'll miss you.

Late last year I read one of his suggestions to another member and felt compelled to thank him for his vast experience and help he gladly gave all ofus. He responded as follows, and it just seems so prescient now....

Ya know...years ago, over at Las Vegas Advisor, there was a guy
who loved the Shows. I would ask him for seating suggestions...he
was a great source of information, then...he just disappeared.

I understand what a good suggestion can do to ones' evening of entertainment.
I'm simply happy to pass on the info I've learned and hope YOU REMEMBER and
pass it along too. SHOWS ARE GOOD FOR YOU and the more we can help
eachother, the better but keep in mind...the suggestions I offer are what works

for me. I'm glad they work for other folks too but there's lots of good seats in
these showrooms. Common sense, look at the seating charts, and you should
    be fine.
    THANKS YOU GUYS!
I got an idea...why don't we ALL get together and see a Show sometime!

For now...I'm around...and glad to help!

I just read about GregRio's passing today and wanted to pay my virtual respects. When a show came up that sounded intriguing, I was always appreciative to see a post from him about it. I wouldn't have known about Santa Fe & The Fat City Horns had he not posted about them.

Thank you for the advice, Greg.

I haven't been here long and I don't have many posts, but I know this is a great loss. I always enjoyed his posts and the great information he had and was willing to share.

    RIP

I've missed you KD on Bonnie's board, which I have left also. I thought of you when I heard of Greg's passing as I knew you were friends. A true gentleman.....we corresponded on the board but so sadly never met, but I will miss him none the less. Thinking of you and all of Greg's friends, family and loved ones!
    Hugs, Bre

I too am shocked to hear of Greg's passing! Having never actually met Greg in person, our constant communications with him on this board gave me the true feeling I knew him personally. I've always respected his position here and his posts were always valued. Just by the mere number of posts expressing our sadness, validates my opinion.......GREG WAS ONE OF THE MOST RESPECTED POSTER ON VMB

I send my deepest condolences to his family..
