    My Trip Report

    Preamble

I'm back, baby! I was getting antsy at home. Managed to hit the dentist, go into the office for a free flu shot, catch-up on a ton of TV, and have some socially distanced brunches to catch up with friends in the three weeks I was home. But CZRs lured me back with two different Health and Fitness offers and an Apple Electronics offer. Also, it's easier to politely pass on non-socially distanced get-togethers if I'm across the country :)

The offers were spread over a three week period so I decided to drive from Virginia again. I may not be quite right in the head :goofy: Rental cars are expensive these days and I didn't want to deal with Uber/Taxis to travel between casinos, the laundromat, and the grocery store. Took three days/two nights again. This time I tried I-64 across WV and picked up I-70 in St. Louis. Made it to KC the first night and Grand Junction, CO the second. Meal highlights were Cincinnati chili in Louisville (4-way with onions), Waffle House breakfast in KC (smothered, covered, and capped), and country fried steak at Denny's in Grand Junction. Lowlights were (not so) spicy mcnuggets and getting 11 MPG across Kansas due to strong winds. Covered 2,487 miles in 32h39m, averaging 76 mph.

    IMG_20201016_161437.jpg IMG_20201017_062149.jpg IMG_20201018_052444.jpg IMG_20201019_090329.jpg

The offers combined earn $17,000 of free play for earning 62,000 tier credits. 9/5 JoB has a house edge of about 1.5% giving the offers a value of $17,000 - 1.5% * (62,000 TCs * $10/TC + $17,000 FP coin-in) = $17,000 - $9,555 = $7,445. Of course that is not guaranteed to happen. Playing $1 VP that is 127,400 hands of VP, about three royal cycles. It's pretty easy to be under royaled over that many hands. Hope it goes as well as last trip!

As of now all I know is that I will be in Vegas for at least three weeks. Bouncing between Paris, Cosmo, and PH the first week. Staying at the Cal the following week, which means I will be right across the street when Circa opens on 10/28. And then back to Paris for the third week. I would not be shocked if I stay in Vegas past that week, especially since I have nice Nov/Dec Binion's/4Q offers earned on the last trip. I will probably head up to Tahoe and Reno again. No major plans for the trip back...thinking of taking US 50 across NV, known as the loneliest road in America.

People seemed to enjoy my Jul-Sep trip reports so I'll do it again. Of course I'm already a week behind.

Status: Up $0 cash on vp. No quarter royals. No dollar royals.
Up next: Paris Suite, Harrah's Oyster Bar Dinner.

$620,000 coin-in is nice. If my math is right, one out of three expected royals would put you about $1k short of even (assuming everything else is close to expected.) Any more than 1 will likely give you a profit. Without at least 1 will likely be negative. I can't wait to see your progress reports.

That's the most generous I've ever seen a restaurant be with cheese besides on a pizza.

I adored your last reports, checked in every day to see how you were doing even though it was in the past. Wishing you a successful trip and hope you do not have anymore troubles with your truck. Also hope you were able to clean the screen from the exploding bottle;)

Let the good times roll! In 2003 I drove The Loneliest Road in America. You know, I would even do it again, although I wonder how that might be in the winter. If you break down you might be out there a while. Pack warm clothing and food.

Enjoyed your last trip, never done the cross country thing (I live in Nova as well) but am tempted one day once this thing is over so I can take in all of what the places along the way have to offer.

Hope you have a great time!

Wow you drive hard. On my June road trip from NJ I made it to Indianapolis the first night, Salina KS the second, and Grand Junction the third night. I suppose it’s because you have to start work. So looking forward to this adventure.
