    My Trip Report

Wife and I took another overnight trip to The Rising Star Casino in Rising Sun Indiana. We got another free room offer and would like to see these keep coming so figured we better take advantage of it. This is the casino that my wife hit the $100 or nothing slot machine twice.

No luck on that machine this time around. We gave it back about ten or fifteen bucks.

Low rollers that we are, we took advantage of the nickel VP and Keno machines. I split my play between DDB and DW. I started with DW and finally got the 4 deuces dealt to me. Too easy.

After getting the deuces I switched to DDB and got various 4 OAKS.

There are 3 decks to gamble on. The lower deck has 9/5 DDB in nickels. Not too shabby for low rollers. The upper deck has 8/5 DDB which I hit a couple more 4 OAKS on.

I decided to go back to triple play DW. I was getting absolutely nothing. This was a super times play machine that I didn't play the extra coins on. I just played it as a normal 5 coins per hand max triple play. I was getting nothing so I decided to scrap the triple play and stay on the same machine but only play one hand instead of three. I ended up getting 4 deuces in the same session of play.

At this point I figured I was done but hoped to squeeze out something like 4 aces maybe with a kicker on DDB. I got on an ultimate x machine but just played 5 coins. I usually stay away from carnival games and bets. I got my 4 aces without a kicker but I wasn't going to complain.

I couldn't have gotten any luckier than I did. Unfortunately, my wife was getting nothing. She managed only one 4 OAK but did hit a 5 number pick on Keno for $40. On the way home the next day we stopped at Hollywood Casino in Columbus. No wins to brag about. We came home up about $40. If my wife had a little more luck it could have been a really good trip. I'll take what we got though.

    Good report!

I'm surprised they still have "hundred or nothing" that's tough to find.

I haven't seen a "five star poker" game with a denomination as low as nickels before. I'd definitely would like playing that!

    Nice run with the deuces!
