Kitties in the sunshine
@ardee you will never be forgotten. Keep an eye on us and all the pets from up above.
A similar shot of my poodle Charley which I posted several pages earlier. If you find that one, you'll notice the amazing difference between an abundant rain year, and one with not so much.
Move along Momma, nothing to see here
OMG little kitten.
Thank god it's almost the weekend!
Who is this little nugget?
The girls decided on 'Evie' The photo was a little while ago, now growing up fast. First cat I've had that is a very reluctant lap cat so far, she just likes to do her own thing, but always shares a bed with my eldest daughter.
This is Winnie. She's one of my sister's 2 cats. For 6 years, she has been hesitant to interact with me. About 6 months ago, I finally figured out a way to play with her. Now I'm her BFF. I am truly happy she is finally comfortable around me. But at this exact moment, I just want to be able to see what Drew Brees is doing. OK?
One of my last pictures of Augie with Evie on their beds on the couch just two days before we had to make that last trip to the vet. Evie has been pretty depressed. But slowly coming out of it. Snow&Icemageddon has not helped. I found her purple sweater. I also found Augie’s tan one. Too big for her. When it clears up I’ll take the sweater and other supplies to the shelter.
Recently, I posted a pic of Winnie, the younger of my sister's cats. Just as I was getting up to go to bed, she crawled up on me. That is a rare occurrence. Since I know her need for attention comes from the fact my sister has been stuck at the hospital for 48 hours due to the ice storm, I can't deny her a little of my time.
That last picture of her in her purple sweater is so special. Her eyes go straight to your heart! I feel how much love there was with the three of you. The memories do live on and on, and become more precious.
@Valgal I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet pup Augie. Lots of hugs & pets for Evie & her humans.
Spring bird-watching is just around the corner!
Cosmo and Jaxon think it is a good night to hang out by the fire.
When we lost Buster, Jaxon was really sad. For months he’d go from room to room looking for him. If we saw a doodle when we were out that looked like Buster, Jaxon would go crazy pulling to get to them and you could see the disappointment when he realized it wasn’t him. Thus, Cosmo joined our family and Jaxon was immediately smitten. I think he thinks Cosmo is his baby and he lets Cosmo get away with anything. It is sweet.
I’ve had friends who have lost one of their pets tell me similar stories about the surviving pet wandering through the house and yard looking for their lost pal. So heart-tugging to hear about this but super to know that Jaxson pepped up when Cosmo arrived on the scene. Happy ending to what must have been pretty rough to go through.
My goofy girl.
