Which sushi place do you guys recommend? (decent price and nice selection)
My girlfriend really enjoyed the sushi at Morimoto at MGM Grand…..I’m not really a sushi guy, so would not know the difference
Off strip, I recommend
On strip, Morimoto (MGM Grand), Koi (PH) CORRECTED or Zuma (Cosmopolitan)
Depends on your specific desires, standards
Variety, good quality, great price... I like Sakana off-Strip. It's an AYCE place, yet excellent.
My experiences in the Strip resorts are minimal. Yellowtail - I'll never return. Zuma, I intended to eat sushi, but had one roll and kept ordering from the Robata where I was seated; the roll was very good, but not mind-blowing. Menu didn't appear to be anything super-special.
With kids, I'd go to Konbea conveyor belt.
My favorite is NOBU, but the pricing is on the indecent side of the scale…
Is Kobe new at PH? Is it in the Miracle Mile shops?
Sorry, I meant Koi.
KOI at PH is very good.
We love Wazuzu….. it’s not necessarily a “sushi place” but we always get a couple rolls with our drunken noodles and they are great.
went to one with a friend who lived in Vegas, Oyshi sushi, south west vegas, all you can eat was I think $25 a person but was maybe 4 pages front and back to choose from. you could get single pieces and whole rolls
Thank you for this post. I'm excited about trying this place.on my.next trip.in Oct.
I'm not much of a sushi connoisseur, but I love going to Sushi Samba at V/P.
Ra Sushi in the Showcase mall was excellent. Also, enjoyed Koi in Planet Hollywood. Between the two, Ra was better and about 30% cheaper.
Mizumi in the Wynn is my favourite but a bit pricey - I never understood how good wasabi could actually be before going here.....
Morimoto and Nobu were great, but if you're looking for decent price and good, I'd recommend Sushi Roku at the Forum Shops. They have a pretty solid happy hour.
My two favorite places are Zuma (Cosmo) and Mizumi (Wynn) both are a bit pricey though. An under rated place is TEKKA BAR in Cosmo, limited selection but task is awesome, if you're in the downtown area you should try the AYCE sushi place ichiban decent at a good price.
If Sake Rok ever reopens, it was great. It has a bit of a younger vibe though and we enjoyed it during off hours. It's technically part of NYNY but it's outside near T-Mobile. All the info says "temporarily closed" rather than "permanently closed" so I'm hopeful it comes back.
Recommendation: be very thorough in planning for Koi
Certainly not the most dependable source. VV tweet: Source shares drama at Koi restaurant inside Planet Hollywood. Told on Sep. 16, G.M. quit on the spot, fallout included six staffers terminated. Also, rumblings of harassment complaints against chef and management. How such cultures continue to exist is baffling.
Liked the sushi at catch…
