    My Trip Report

We made our annual golf / football trip last weekend. We stayed at the traditional Las Vegas Club location downtown, as it makes it easy to find the people in your group when you are all circulating among a handfull of small casinos under the covered walkway.

We buy a membership at Angel Park which brings the price on their three courses down from $130 to $55. Best golf deal in town, and really good courses. They also have a really good par 3 that is lighted for night play....lots of fun on those warm Vegas evenings. We also played the lighted par 3 course at the Callaway Center, which is just a few minutes past Tropicana. This is a great course to play at sunset...you get to see lights come up on the strip...what a great backdrop to the already surreal feeling of playing golf at night!

We watched the NFL games at the Brew Pub at the Monte Carlo...I would definitely recomend it...three big screens, plus addtional tv's...good food and service, and, of course, Really good beer! ;)

Monday night we did something we had never done, but will to Every year from now on... we went to Cheetah's for Monday night football....oh my God!!! hahahaha :-D Having only been to a couple of topless places in my life, this place was even more than I had imagined. They had two big screens for the game, and every time you bought a beer you got a ticket for pizza or chicken wings. It was a very upbeat, happy, party environment...more than a few guys had wives/girlfriends with them...this is not a dive by any means. If you want to do something on your Vegas trip you won't soon forget, you might check out Cheetah's.

We also spent a night at the Times Square bar in NYNY. VERY fun place. They had a very entertaining guy playing the piano, getting people involved....lots of laughing, yelling, and drinking. All good. :)

Now I'm back to my regular life of work, taking the kids to soccer games and swim meets, NOT staying up all night, NOT playing golf four days in a row, NOT buying breakfast for the table full of women next to us at 3am, and NOT drinking more alchohol per day than I do the rest of the year combined.

Thank God we only do that trip once a year (like our wives would let it happen more often)! Only eleven and a half months to go until next year's trip! Woohoo! :-D

Sounds like you had a great trip!

Cheetah's. [IMG] You boys. [IMG] Do you know the story of Ted Binon's murder? His girlfriend is in jail for conspiring with her new lover to kill him and take all his money. Apparently the couple met at Cheetah's. So be careful. [IMG]

Angel Park has two Arnold Palmer courses, plus a lighted par 3 course...there is also another course on the other side of town called The Legacy, which is a US Open qualifying course, which is part of the family.

You can buy "The Heritage Club" card for $225 by 8/15, $275 by 9/3, and $325 after that. The card is good until the following year end, so if you buy it when first available, it's good for a year and a half. The card allows the cardholder and three guests to dramatically reduced fees (in early October, we paid $50 instead of the $135 walk up price). The card holder also gets half priced range time, $10 off par 3 rounds, and two free tournaments (one in July and one in December). Since you can bring 3 guests, it means you can divide the cost of the card by 4, which means you get all your money back the first time you play!

Call Angel Park at 1-888-4GOLFLV for more details.

    It's really a great deal!
