I have one comped for our next trip, but was just wondering if we would be better off here or in the Gold Tower.
Does the new rooms in Carson have the see through glass door to the bathroom?

If it does, I think we will just opt for the gold tower.
Also, are the Carson rooms larger than the gold tower rooms?

The only one I stayed in was gold tower and it was fine, but hated the glass door because my husband gets up super early and the light was so bright it woke me every morning.

May just pack a thin blanket and some tape this trip to be sure...I'm sure the maid would get a laugh out of that!

Zoey, I just got off the phone with the GN about my room reservation in about a month. I happened to ask him, before I saw your post, about the renovations in the Carson Tower. He told me that the rooms basically got new paint, carpet, wallpaper etc. I asked him about the bathrooms and specifically about the showers and he told me they are still the same as far as shower curtains go, i.e. showers are not like the Rush Tower. He did tell me the bathrooms were refurbished with new fixtures and the like.

He also mentioned that there are going to be two tiers of Carson Tower rooms, but even the top tier Carson Tower room will still have the same bath/shower/shower curtain configuration.

Sorry, but I can't help you in regards to Carson Tower vs. Gold Tower rooms. I've only stayed in a Carson Tower room once and now stay only in the Rush Tower rooms.

Hope this helps.......

:peace:

It's been a long time since we have been in Carson or Gold Tower Regular rooms, but we have stayed in both before. The Carson tower rooms are a bit larger than the Gold Tower rooms, especially the bathrooms. Bathrooms are very small in gold tower in my opinion. Gold Tower also doesn't have a vanity/seating area outside the restroom to do your make up, with the nice mirror they have in the Carson rooms. The only upside for the higher costs of the Gold Tower is that it's closer to the main casino & Fremont street. Enjoy your trip!!
