Going in April !!

We have all of our rooms free except the one for Sunday nite. Can I book that nite while I'm there or do you think that will be a problem ? We aren't sure where we want to stay that last nite, but I don't want any hassles. We were originally scheduled to go in Sept. How far of a drive is it to Grand Canyon ?
