Golden Nugget is overpriced and not very good. Classy hotel, good restaurants, bad buffet.

I really don't like Vegas buffets, but ate at Fremont buffet on a comp on seafood night and actually enjoyed it. There was a lot of variety and I especially liked the seafood bisque. We ate at golden nugget buffet once and will never go back. I don't think I enjoyed anything except the chocolate cake for dessert.

The Fremont's seafood buffet is something they've really focused on and they do a very good job. A good value and very good food.

I had the Fremont Seafood a buffet a couple of trips back. Some of the items were so-so, others were pretty darned good. I would do it again.

Agreed but for $22 bucks it is worth the price. Just skip the so so items. And some of the time my play at the crap table warrants a free comp so that makes it even better.

I stay at the GN and do their breakfast buffet most of the days I'm there. It is good with good service. I'm not to keen on their lunch or dinner buffets. They're OK but I would much rather spend a little more and get a nice meal somewhere else downtown or on the strip. When in doubt (for lunch or dinner) I'll head over to Triple George or Pop-Up-Pizza.
