Appropriated from my TR
It was time for dinner so we drove over to Giada's. I am glad that my host made the reservations, because each time, I get a window table for two. When I made the reservation myself, I was put "in the back". Our waiter was Joseph, who was the waiter the last time when I visited with my 89 year old non gambling Aunt. I later told him that when I brought guests to LV I always liked to take them to Giada's, because of the ambiance, food, and service.
I told Joseph that Stef had never been to Giada's before, and he subjected her to the entire "Giada's experience". We settled on the tasting menu.
Note that the tasting menu is: $120 apiece with no alcohol, and must be ordered by two people, but each gets a selection from the second (pasta) and third (entree) course. The dessert cart is featured with the tastine menu, and each person gets three selections from the dessert cart. You also get a copy of the menu with an autographed picture of Giada, and several recipes.
We had
Appetizer
Bacon Wrapped dates, ribeye with potato over toasted bread
I had Bucatini for my second course
Stef had spaghetti with shrimp
For entree, Stef had the Salmon
I had the filet mignon
Shared sides:
Smashed potatoes
Polenta (excellent!!!)
Now the dessert cart clockwise from upper left:
Raspberry Tiramisu
Ricotta "something" with gold leaf
TBD
Tiramisu
Plus two kinds of Gelato, strawberry and White chocolate
As always, dinner was excellent. Just the right portion size.
I also purchased a cookbook to bring the bill to $300 in order that I could get maximum value out of the $100 7* meal vouchers.
