Trips to Las Vegas
25
Got a call on my cell phone as I was driving down I-65 last night. It was my Vegas compadre, Eddie B, and he told me that he was heading off to Sin City this weekend for a quick trip with his girlfriend. Apparently her uncle is in some sort of pool tournament out there, so it was as good excuse as any to get a quick Vegas fix.

They're staying off-strip at the Tuscany for like $35 a night, and he said he probably won't be able to do much dice-throwing, but would definitely be playing a few hands of blackjack and a few sessions at the video poker machine.

To prepare himself, he told me that he went to lvol.com and printed off all of the progressive jackpots. Said he's gonna try and bring home that 25-cent Jeopardy jackpot.

Right now it's sitting at $2.5 Million+, and hasn't been hit since October of 2001. I think it's due.

Yeah, that would pay for quite the party in July.

Mikey,

Post what he thought about the Tuscany... I have had people ask me about it around here!

As far as getting ready for the trip, I have cancelled my plane flight and will just drive up there on Friday morning. It seems like my compadres are bailing out on me right and left so it may just be me! Brew Pub at 6 still the plan? Hope it isnt too busy by then!

T - .... WHO CARES!!!!

I did something yesterday that I normally ONLY do in Vegas. I ate some corned beef hash. Usually only crosses my lips at the vegas breakfast buffets. Seeing as "danishes" have gone the way of french fries and french toast, I think I will have a few pastries today...

T- too long

Bazootch - That's funny about the corned beef hash. We took my son to Vegas for the first time when he was about ten and he had some corned beef hash. He loved it. He's 21 now and every time we go to Vegas (2 or 3 times a year) the first thing he has to do is have some corned beef hash

Hey, my buddy Derek always eats the corned beef hash whenever we're in Vegas too. Every time I've tried it, I found it to be much too salty for my tastes.

Hey Batz--we're gonna miss you (unless I get outrageously lucky...) Our trip is scheduled for July 24-27--Gotta be at work on Monday morning. :(

Well I hope you leave some money for me when I get there. I am going to try rolling the dice this time....maybe the rookie will have some luck.
