Ever since I've been in the Vegas sphere, I've consistently heard about people getting "mailer" offers from the Vegas casinos they play at.

As a Canadian, I've never even gotten one mailer, because it seems that they only send out these "mailers" to US addresses (which I kind of understand).

I'm not in the ranks of players who can justify having a host's attention, so I expect that if I was to be in line for comp offers of any kind, they'd be coming from the marketing department in the form of a generic mailer.

With the limitation of not being able to get mailers, though, this puts me in a bit of a difficult position.

On my next trip down, I am planning on giving some DT properties some video poker action (just quarters, perhaps a few thousand coin-in per day). If this might justify comp, or casino rate offers, I'd like to align myself to be able to benefit from them.

Accordingly, what I'm looking to find out is what properties (ideally downtown) will send out offers to non-US addresses, or will send them by other means such as email.

I used to get mailers from El Cortez for a few years. They were the only ones that every sent me me something physically, everything else was through email.

I'm a Canadian and I get mailer offers (in the mail) from Boyd casinos. Main Street Station, California, The Orleans, and Gold Coast, in particular.

(I also get them online at bconnectedonline.com)

We receive regular mail offers from Boyd (Gold Coast, Sam's Town and The Orleans), Cosmopolitan and Tropicana. The offers have been mailed out as a result of signing up for the slot club and playing at the casinos during a previous trip. We now use these offers exclusively because there are no resort fees or parking fees associated with the complimentary rooms (Cosmo excepted!) This upcoming trip will cost $58 for seven nights hotel (because wife refuses to change hotels more than once during trip:cry:)

I get physical mailers from boyd, golden gate and D regularly. I've had a couple from cet and mlife over the years. Really dont see much in the mailers that I didnt already see online or in emails.

I've received paper offers from virtually all of the downtown properties. Some also send email. Some send mostly email.

Make sure your address is correct in their database - the desk sheilas often fumble our postal code, country. whatever.

For an upcoming trip, give the slot club a call and ask if you have any offers.

I know you are looking at staying downtown, but I can tell you that both MLIFE and Cosmo both send out physical mailers to Canadian addresses. I would say MLIFE is once a month and Cosmo once a quarter.

Most times when I check my mail its only vegas comp offers and other junk. All my bills are done email/online so apart from CET, boyd, trop elco, and the D flyers sometimes my box is empty. I keep trying to get those offers online only but somehow they keep sending me mail even though it's been almost a couple years since I've been.

Sometimes I wonder why they keep sticking to postal mailers. Wouldn't it save them so much postage if they switched the default to email, and maybe only keep postal mailers to older folks?

(Has to be really much older folks at this stage -- even the 70 and 80 year olds I know use email!)

MGM will send a full gloss magazine style complete with advertorials and a personalized offer on one of the pages. I can only imagine what it may cost to produce and mail it.

As a Canadian, I have gotten mail from the D, Gold Coast, SLS, and 4 queens. No one else has bothered and those were mostly just discount type offers rather than comps.

D and 4 queens the only downtown ones. The D sends teaser flyers but give up after 1-2 quarters. The 4q mails letters with offers.

As I mentioned in another thread, was just shocked to find I had comps at Cal and Fremont through website rate searches only (no mailer, no offer)
