I can see a possible upside for the casino in converting to electronic drink tickets by not having the service activated until X dollars are risked. The process ends and reverts to inactive when you take your card out for that machine. You could carry "credits" forward for a fixed period of time. If the casino wished.

A new print out. Amount wagered, drinks consumed per visit. Oh boy! This will spread if given the chance.

CET in Tunica has something similar. You order off the screen.

So does Harrah's by San Diego. It never works well.

Horseshoe in CB has it, but of course they are not free for us lowly Plats, so I seldom use it.

Bally’s, Harrah’s and Caesars have had this in AC for several years, it works great!

It's already in some CET markets, without the metering rules. Hopefully Tunica never gets to that point. It works well IF they are adequately staffed. And if you're there for awhile, you can adjust your re-ordering time to account for the drink wait time too.

This system failed at V/P. They were dumb enough to do this, which Westgate says they will also do.

"Servers will still roam the casino floor assisting those who don’t utilize the service." And V/P made the huge mistake of understaffing for the people trying to order off the machine. The time we tried it, we waited over 20 minutes there and gave up.

The only time I wait that long at CET Tunica is if somehow my order goes missing. Otherwise it's 7 minutes or less (7 minutes is their "goal"). Overall I like it currently. It's much better than the competition (Gold Strike - M Life). They have the 2nd worst cocktail service in town, imo.

I agree, this is really an outstanding feature of AC for me. I've had no problem with service, it's usually quite prompt, and everyone's happier including the servers I'm sure.

One thing I just remembered, and I think it was this site I reported on what I found out.

There was a rumor on the net that the Horseshoe CB, there was actually a "metering rule" on paid drinks.

Well, shortly after that rumor was reported, I was waiting on line for beer at that semi-portable bar out on the floor and the guy in front of me wanted four beers for him and his friends and the bartender said he could only serve him two, but just to come back and order two more. When I stepped up I asked him about that, and also asked him about the rumor that they were only supposed to sell somebody one drink every so often. He said that yes, you're not supposed to have more than two at a time, but laughed and said "We could never enforce something like that" about the time limits. He admitted you could easily just go to one of the other bars and get more. He did not, actually, confirm or deny that a rule existed.

Well you could also just slide over to another machine no? Insert card play a spin and order a drink within time limit not after. Can you say big brother? What happened to the cocktail waitress coming back regularly enough I would say "Not right now, thanks". ? I know I know. We probably asked for it.

Now the tables are the final frontier. Will the CW’s scan your players card to see if you are worthy? Will you have to petition the pit boss to punch in a drink order for you? I still remember when folks thought TITO would never catch on.

Tunica, San Diego, and NoLa all have this at CET and each time, it’s worked perfectly for us (although we are diamond)
Rio had something like this a long time ago; one girl came around with an iPad and took orders then another came back with the drinks

So when ordering a drink on the screen - Does it allow you to specify that I'd like my Bloody Mary spicy?

Can you constantly order them or is it 1, say, every 15 minutes
