Gambling, smoking and boozing at DTG now!

 

Gambling done for today, I’m a bit buzzed right now, so time for a break. Will be going on a short roadtrip to Mount Charleston tomorrow, weather looks pretty good for it!

Playersclubrepresentative came round my slot to hand me a free hoodie. Perfect size for the big german guy and pretty comfy... they had a promotion running today, but I really didn’t notice. So, very nice move to make a personal delivery!


Today’s winnings (still on yesterday’s budget). I’m really happy with that!

 

Loving your TR... awesome just plain awesome !!! I don’t have any tattoos but love your dedication for your grandpa and Mazda ..!!! My brother in-law and nephew has some tattoos and yes they all say they gotta connect w artist before any work begins they take this shit very seriously!!

Enjoying following along, thanks for sharing. I found the DTG to be a bit of a diamond in the rough DT, not always gleaming, but at times can be an absolute blast. I'm looking forward to hanging out there for at least a few hours end of March.

Took the rental out for a roadtrip yesterday up to Mount Charleston. Very beautiful up there. Some childhoodmemories of skiing vacations with my parents in the Italian alps came up. Really loved the drive up there. Had a tasty lunch at the lodge, with very friendly barstaff and good food and atmosphere!


Had a quick afternoon nap and hit the casino again, where I met Myla (sp?) @mattjb s favorite CW at the DTG. He mentioned her in his walkthrough video, and of course he was on the point, as always. She really is a very nice lady with excellent and insanely fast service, a beautiful smile and a very positive vibe. So as Matt requested, i send her some greetings from him, and she was superhappy that he mentioned her in his vlog.

Later in the evening hosts Curt and Tom came around and introduced themselves, Curt offering to take care of everything I might need and offered to set me up a ride to the airport on sunday. Very nice guys, was fun to talk to them. Let’s see how good their service will work!

I then decided to have a quick snack, so I went to freedom beats and had the crab sliders, which were delicious! Just what I needed that moment!


Later that night I met up with @Imaginos again for drinks and cigars, and we played some bubble craps for quite some time, until finally called it a night. Was back at my room at 3:30 and just crashed into bed.
But it was a fantastic day!

17th. Room 1797

 

Returned the rental today about noon. Had to sleep a little longer today after last night.

Then made a slow walk all around FSE, starts to get pretty crowded right now. Checked if the Nugget is still safe in place at GN and walked over to the Plaza for a slice of pepperoni pizza. Not bad, a nice lunchtime snack.



Next stop: Mainstreet Station. Had to finally check out Churchill’s Snookertable. Something I have forgotten to do on every trip to downtown... but this time, I made it!



Walked over to the California to check out Lappert‘s icecream, a recommendation @smerrian gave me during the Cosmo grouppull in october. He was sooooo right. Soft and creamy and they had my favorite flavour: Mintchocolatechip! Woohoo!


Pizza and icecream, I felt like being guest on a children’s birthdayparty. Now a short rest and then it’s time to hit the casino again.

Sad day, I have to leave paradies today. Packed up everything, and just checked out. Total balance of the stay at DTG: 0

Tom and Curt comped everything which is pretty nice. Now sitting at the Artbar waiting for my ride to the Airport. Will fly out at 3pm to LAX, then at 7:30 pm the longhaul to Helsinki again, quickly change planes and finally arrive back home at 6:30pm local time, which is 9:30 am Vegastime on monday. So basically I will be up and running again the next 24 hours...

Will try to update while on my way, but will close down this report on tuesday, so stay tuned!

Thanks AA... flight is delayed more and more... layover at LAX was 3 hours, now it’s barely an hour... I hate that!
