Any fans out there? These are the main games that I tend to gravitate too. Over the last several years I've won over $2000.00 on them. I'm not a greedy player so I only play 5 numbers at $.50 a spin. I win about $400.00 when I hit. In 2016 I hit on Friday night at the Aria for $385.00 and then Saturday night I hit for $408.00 at Downtown Grand. In December 16 I hit for another $400.00 at the Horseshoe casino in Baltimore, Md. Just curious if anyone else still like the old standbys??
I understand playing less numbers, takes some volatility out of the game. No huge wins, no long dry spells. Sometimes I just have to sit down at Caveman Keno and play 3 numbers to break a slot losing spell lol
Interesting website for Keno: http://themysticgambler.com/ I practice different methods on http://www.videopoker.com/ I plan on putting them to use the next 3 days in Vegas.
Curious which techniques others use. I've tried that quadrant method but quick picks works better for me. With quick picks I've gotten 5 out of 5 a few times and 6 out of 7 a number of times. With the quadrant method I've never gotten anything significant. I'm waiting for the day I get 7 out of 7.
Love playing this at the end of a day at tables when I don't want to think and just push a button hope to get lucky. Have 8/9 for a couple handpays but usually 7 spots and have hit a couple times on that. The 5s are great to put you back in after a bit of a dry spell.
Video Keno is my hubby's go-to game. I play for a while and then get restless....and head for interactive, flashy penny games that eat up my bankroll, after hypnotizing me! Because we are Canadian, we try to avoid hitting a taxable amount, so he sits and hits that button hour after hour at .25/turn...trying for 6/6 usually, which pays $400. Years ago, he would usually get 3 or 4 of these in a 7 day trip. Lately...like hen's teeth, the wins are missing/hidden/nonexistent. . That won't stop him from sitting down with a great deal of hope in his heart each morning, on our next trip though. I tell him that he has to earn his way, and return his daily gambling stake to our 'take-home envelope' each night. .....Makes him cranky when he doesn't win.
All of the pictures that I've posted above were from one casino, Orleans Las Vegas. It pays to shop around so to speak.
The good thing about keno is that the house edge can be calculated from the pay schedule. Here are the numbers for the ones you posted above: "best" 5.1% "moderate" 7.6% "bad" 12.3% If you're willing to scout around, you can find and play the 5% games. And slot club benefits can lessen the impact of the 5% house edge.
The best way to play keno is when playing with less numbers. The best spot to play this one is on spot 5. The wins might not be that much but when you try to multiply your bet your winning will also multiply.
Depends on the exact paytables, but betting 5 or 6 often has one of the better returns. And as far as keno ratings overall, the Wizard of Odds did a recent survey. Shockingly Wynncore and Bellagio are near the top of the list! http://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/video-poker/27190-las-vegas-video-poker-and-video-keno-ratings/2/#post565667
My flight with Spirit Airlines out of Cleveland got cancelled. I was only going for 3 nights so it wasn't worth leaving the next day. Will try again the end of April.
Thanks for the link. Those are some hard-to-believe results. I would like to know what's the best available. The Wizard also published a 14-page list of pay schedules for scouting purposes, and the best in the entire document was a Cleopatra 4-spot at 95.25%. Is that actually the highest return programmable on an IGT machine?
