Barrett gets those hiccups almost every night in Vegas.

Darn I can hardly wait for December.....I would love to fit another trip in, along with joining Macker in Mexico, a golf trip to Phoenix, and a cruise. I probably better not push it. Wife gave in pretty easy on December trip, but every time I hint about one of these other possibilities she mentions the "kitchen remodel".....damn these chicks are smart.

I will have this TR wrapped up by the end of the work week!

And I agree...that December Vegas trip can't get here soon enough. Although I am sure New Orleans in 29 days will hold me over!

    Mr. Gaggles....

Coops on Decatur in New Orleans.

You can publicly thank me on VMB when you get back. :blowkiss:

ps- Hustler Club....lots of fun. If BNK goes, tell her to NOT sit on pervert row unless she likes to flash.

I have actually been to NO before and Decatur taking in, of course, Cafe du Monde. As far as the Hustler Club, we will check it out. No fear from BNK on nudie bars.

Any particular restaurant I must go to? My only absolute must based on last trip are the Grilled Oysters from Drago's. They are heavenly. Otherwise nothing else really jumped out at me as far as food was concerned.

Coops is food and drink but it's like drunken grub food (mmm....rabbit jambalaya), not fancy food. If you want fancy stuff, August is my favorite for foodie twists on cajun food. Stella is also good, but its not very "new orelans influenced". If you want seafood, GW Fins. Burgers and awesome drinks (Monsoon FTW) is Port of Call on Esplanade. If you wake up early enough to eat a breakfast or brunch....Stanley! is phenominal. The bananas foster french toast is the greatest hangover cure ever.

ETA: If you want a real adventure, you can take the Canal streetcar to Mandinas for some "home cooking"- get wild and walk a half a block up to Brocato's for gelato after dinner- just be mindful of your surroundings. You can also take the St. Charles streetcar to Camellia Grille. I'm personally not a fan, but a lot of tourists think its great. This can get you out of the quarter a little bit.

Well some quick highlights that will not be quite as detailed as my usual stuff of the last trip.

Checked into Bally's and chatted with a very nice lady at the Diamond Check In. I flat out said, "Listen, I play here almost every month, I turned down a Tower Deluxe room the twas comped at the Mirage by a host because we anted to stay here. I never get a suite, can you hook me up?"

She made a call to a host, chatted a bit with him and clearly advocated for a bump. Kept a $20 quite visible from the start of the request. She made it happen. Tipped her and was on my way. No tricks. No sandwich with ID. Guys....just hold out the money. You are not trying to bribe your way into a meeting of the Stone Masons. Just do it.

Now ya I know these suites are old and no big deal. And I never did use the bidet although I think they are a great idea! But when you are with a girl in Vegas it is almost imperative to have two sinks or at the minimum a double sink. I don't think I can go back to single sinks!

Readied ourselves and hit Sully's. Donny on a night off but Rick and Company were working. Got us drunk and made us feel at home. First $100 in on .50 I was dealt two 3's and the draw was 233! Bing Bing! Up to $492.50. Not bad for my 3rd or 4th spin!

So after about 4-5 drinks I cash out at $400 and go to the bathroom leaving BNK to fend for herself for a few minutes. Literally 80-90% of the time when I leave her at a bar top there is invariably a boy or two chatting her up by the time I get back. Oh you boys....

So I tell myself in lieu of this...I will be quick in the bathroom. Up ot the HL bathroom I go and as I am walking to the door a dude cuts me off! Damn. Now I gotta play $1 triple plays! I mean I'm up right? Well that was one expensive piss! Burned through my $300 profit very quickly. But still even right! Used bathroom returned to BNK and true to form...brushed a guy away from her who was about 65 and clearly to drunk to be scared and swinging for the fence. But not being a creep...just trying to write a cheque he could no longer cash at his age.

Off to.....Bellagio for Baccarat Bar and triple play.

I will be blunt. The service here was poor. The bartenders were grumps and frankly being jerks. After about our third BNK tried to order another one as she literally has about a sip left and he says "I'll get you one when you are done that one" Eff U dude. We didn't stay long. No need for that attitude. This has never happened at this bar before. I mean I am conditioned to low level's of personality from staff at The B but this was not cool.

Gambling wise I did get dealt quad 8s on the triple play which was very nice! But that was it and I think I cashed out even. But the losing was soon to begin. And it started with those damn $1 progressives!

I made $5100 on my last trip and I have a lot of trips and fun stuff on the horizon so I was playing a little conservative this trip. I know Beejay and Macker hate Draw Poker but that 2:1 on two pair keeps the variance low. ANd I did get a royal at the Mirage a couple weeks ago right?

    So here were the hits:

Hold three J's get the fourth. But only $125.
Then the dreaded premium quads! Arg! Held two 3's get dealt two more. A win of $125 but felt like I lost $275!

However, the waitress serving us was making up for Mr Grumpy Pants at the Baccarat Bar. And she was bringing us alternating Pina Colada's and Strawberry Daquiri's! Note...the B has some of the best Pina Colada's in town. At one point I have a pic of BNK sucking one back while we had to Goose Drivers in front of us and 1PC and 1 SD. And yes...we took quite good care of the waitress!

No more quads for Gaggles! Losing money but only down $200 or so. Off to Cosmo.

Cosmo was a zoo! This was a very busy weekend in Vegas due to concerts and fights etc. I might add there was a little too many boys with a little too much testosterone running around as well. Mixing with booze...well just not good. Anyhow....we couldn't find a spot near the front of the casino near that rowdy entrance so we went back to The Q Bar??? Whatever it's called. We know a couple of bartenders there and they were cool. I hit nada. True to form...BNK holds three Aces and gets the fourth on .25. She had never been to Vegas in her life and now she has hit aces on 4 trips with me this year. She is starting to feel entitled I think!

I dumped $2-300. This pattern was getting old already!

From here we walked across the street to PH and hit some bar tops back at the....I think back where the band plays? Was there a band? Or was the music just really loud?

All I know is I was back on .25 triple plays and two 5s turned into 4 of them. Three 2's turned into 4 of them. Three J's turned into 4 and that turned into a drunken stumble to the fabulous Earl of Sandwich for a bed time soup and sandwich snack.

    Night one over. Down $5-700.

Well after all of about 5 hours of sleep we were up and ready to go. It was literally about 9 am. But on the plus side...we got a chair by the pool. The very very cold pool! A quick $20 Pina Colada helped warm us up though. Spent about 2 hours here...nothing too exciting. Time to eat. Get ready stomach...Caesars new buffet was gonna put you to the test!

Get there for lunch, Diamond line available but not marked. We access the unmarked line as the regular line was about 100 deep. I don't understand that! So many choices in Vegas and you wait more than 30 minutes in a line? Oh well.....

But here's why...best buffet on strip and only $20.99 for lunch. Much better deal than the $30 or so charged by Cosmo. I assaulted the sushi station and I think almost single handedly endangered the Ahi Tuna stocks in the ocean. I won't go into too many details other than to say I think it would be an error for yo not to try this place. Especially while it's still new. These buffets tend to dial things down a bit after they open and lose a bit of quality. It will be a new must eat for the near future for me as I take in one buffet a trip.

    What did we do next????

Man, you guys kill me. My office looks out two stories above said Times Square Red Lobster... BUT in my company our hazing ritual for new hires is to force them to take a window booth at lunch hour - and then we take pictures from the street used as leverage throughout the rest of their careers.....

After the buffet we zipped over to the Flamingo where I would try my luck yet again at some $1 progressives near Bugsy's that had been lucky for me in the past. I had some free play and TR credits to burn and they all went into this machine. Along with an extra $100 for good measure.

I also dumped $100 in the $1 Progressives at Caesars right after we ate. I have never hit a quad at this bank and I do not know why the hell I insist on playing these! So it was a -$200 afternoon plus the lost free play and I was getting a little grumpy.

Last stop before a much needed afternoon nap was a bank of carny video poker machines in Bally's over by the lounge. They have all kinds of crazy games. I ended up sticking my $100 into some kind of Quick Quads machine. I know Beejay has played this before as he is just a dirt bag chasing degenerate but I had never tried it. And basically I played it only because the regular triple play beside me had broken buttons.

But in my $100 went and without the magic of the Quick Quads carny angle I managed to hit quad Q's four times! All three times holding only two. So I turned what looked to be a -$300 afternoon into -$100 as I cashed out my buy in at $200.

A $-300 afternoon isn't terrible but it would gnaw on me before I gambled during the evening. I am primarily a night gambler. Even when Beejay and Macker are around I generally watch them play. (Although on my last trip my day gambling turned into a $4600+ royal) maybe I should re-evaluate! But if I'm not drinking booze I just feel I'm getting ripped off when I play!

    Nap time!

My apologies Ace! Work, life, and being sick have been really grinding on my VMB time! In fairness...I did say this would not be a Live TR in the least!

It was about this time that I began feeling a little under the weather. For the second time in three trips, after not being sick in Vegas more than once in 5 years...I resigned myself to the fact that I was catching a cold. This despite my OCD of not touching hands to face and washing hands in Vegas more than a dozen times a day etc. etc. But this town is filthy and is there a better breeding ground for germs than this place?

So after a short nap of perhaps 45 minutes for me and maybe 2 hours for BNK (she can sleep through an avalanche) we got up and decided to start the night at Gustav's for a few sociables. However we got distractedd on our way there by the promise of free chicken wings in the Paris Diamond Lounge and a couple of warm up Screwdrivers so we dipped into there for a few. Service great as always. With a rosy glow we then stepped over to Gustav's.

And I'm sorry but work is cutting this short! I really need to be independently wealthy!! Sorry. To be continued but more quad aces are on the horizon!

Nice! One day I'm gonna hit a quad on a $5 machine! Hit a few premiums on $2 but nothing bigger than $1600! Gotta chase once in awhile. No appointments at work tomorrow so should be able to finish this guys! Sorry!

I think I'm gonna do a New Orleans TR in the Misc Section in 3.5 weeks. Gonna be a decent amount of gambling and debauchary on that one!

Anyone tell me about Harrahs NO Diamond Lounge????
