    My Trip Report

Good evening everyone and welcome to our latest Gaggles Vegas adventure. I'll have to ask you to fasten your seat belts literally and figuratively because for this soiree we are hitting the road!!

This Sunday (or possibly Saturday) I will load up the Gaggles Wagon Queen Family Truckster and depart on a two week road trip which will take us to places such as.....Idaho Falls???? Hmm...I can do better than that. How about Reno, Tahoe, San Fran, Monterey, Costa Mesa, LA, Vegas, Zion Canyon etc.

Why drive when you can fly??? Because getting there is half the fun, right?!?!

I am currently in Edmonton for work. It is going to snow tonight if you can believe that? Welcome to Summer in Canada. But as of Sunday I shall head south with a stop on my first day in Idaho Falls and if all goes according to plan, Reno\Tahoe on Monday afternoon. I have a two day reservation at Harrah's Tahoe. For those two days you may have to put up with Conservative Family Values Single Play Video Poker Gaggles. I can't spend it all in two nights, right??

On Wednesday morning I will relosd the Truckster and head to San Francisco where I will pick up JR. She heads to Arizona tomorrow for a nice visit with about 10 highschool buddies which includes a Friday slumber party. I have been assured a lingerie tickle fight WILL break out and I have already asked for pics to prove it.

San Fran has us visiting Muir Woods and Alcatraz as part of the highlights. From thursdsy_Sunday we have no schedule as we travel south on the PCH. The Truckster is loaded with a tent so some nights could be hotel, some could be camping. Will be fun to have no schedule to adhere to.

At this point the Chargers\Rams game is very much a probability. On Monday we head to Vegas. I have three nights bookedin a fun New room at Flamingo (with $375 free play thrown in by host) and a double booking at Four Queens for Tuesday-Thursday for $80 free play and the possibility that we may get day drunk and need a place to crash.

Vegas may only go two nights instead of three depending on funds. From Vegas we begin heading north to home with a stop for sure in Zion Park for a hike and a camp.

So it's gonna be a fun ride and a fun report. It's not gonna all be gambling but it will be updated regularly. Sonya has advised she will move the TR to the Vegas TR section when we get there.

So I hope you enjoy. I'm freezing my ass off in Edmonton right now and will almost certainly be brushing snow off my car tomorrow before work. And I already have a fun update to start us off......

Hit this at the casino in West Ed Mall last night on the last spin of a $20 I threw in. And I only gave back $100 before I got the hell out of there with a $380 profit intact.

Good luck and look forward to following along! If I ever make it to Edmonton, I want to go to the West Edmonton Mall just to say I have went to a casino within a shopping mall. ;)

Tring, this was Edmonton this morning. Of course, I don’t have my snow brush in the SUV because it’s still FRIKKING SUMMER!!! But this is Edmonton in September. Even by Canadian standards this is ridiculous. [IMG]

    Good luck!

Get your Alcatraz passes in advance if you haven’t already. It’s a great tour.

If you are touring in San Franciso, ee took a great private tour with Reed...

He drives a Mini-Cooper but it had plenty of room for us in the back seat.

It is a bit expensive, but it is a lot better than "canned" tours.

Hmm.. maybe mom was right that September was too late to go to Banff/Jasper.

Safe travels and looking forward to seeing your trip report. You're traveling through some of my favorite places, so I look forward to some vicarious road tripping. :)

I think Banff-Canmore-Jasper all had heavy snow warnings today. This is just nuts!!!

We are less than 24 hours until departure. Just getting everything in order.

JR appears to be coping and managing things in Arizona despite the obvious adversity.

The girls partied pretty hard last night and JR is replenishing her depleted body for breakfast.

I think if I lived in Edmonton the first thing I would do is put my place up for sale and move south. Snow in Sept is just too much. I don't know how those in the mid-West/Great Lakes region do it much less those of you up in Edmonton.
    Onto better things...
Great hit on the tres! Hope you pack the luck in the trunk with all of your stuff so that it's with you in LV.
