So here is the question: Friends of ours are flying Frontier Airlines from Cleveland, OH to Las Vegas on December 27th. They asked me a question regarding their flight; Frontier is currently showing only 106 seats booked on their 6:45 p.m. flight out of 230 seats (Airbus 321). The question they asked me was would Frontier cancel this flight because of so few seats booked? We are flying out on United earlier in the day and our friends are worried about getting their flight cancelled. I just don't know that much about Frontier so I'm posting here to get everyone's thoughts.

Personally I don't think they would cancel as that plane has to be in Las Vegas that evening I would assume to make its Red Eye return flight to Cleveland as they are showing at 9:55 p.m. flight scheduled from Las Vegas back to Cleveland. But who knows with these low cost airlines what they may do? Thanks for your help!

I wouldn't fly Frontier if you paid me $1000 per ticket. Denver got snow this weekend and there are STILL people stuck in CLE today (12/21) because they can't get their act together. There was talk that they may not get out until Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. They wouldn't give those people meal or hotel vouchers either. I've had friends fly them down to FL and have had nightmares.

You know it's bad when the head of the pilots union for Frontier says this:

Now, with that said, I doubt they cancel it because of volume, but it is possible. I flew home on Christmas Eve from Ft. Meyers back to CLE and we were on a 747. There were 50 people on the plane. Needless to say first class was full due to upgrades.

Are they sure that's how many booked? Or it might just be how many seats are already selected, while others (like I usually do when flying alone) go with the luck of the draw. Last time I drew 3rd row aisle, with extra leg room, next to a hot blonde.

I always lose the seat lottery when flying solo.

I learned the hard way several years ago to NEVER book a flight that connects or flies through Denver between say October and March or so!

Franke was running America West during it's bad era.
Flew F9 once and would do so again if the situation presented itself..... if you connect cold weather cities this time of year, you are taking a risk
re . seat lottery...just one time

That is what my friend told me that she is seeing this many seats booked online. Like you said though there may be some seats unassigned yet.

I have taken this flight before out of Cleveland. Don't worry about what happened in Denver. This is a direct flight to Las Vegas. I just checked on their site and this flight shows only 2 seats left and is going for $533.
