Trips to Las Vegas
50
I hope that I am posting this in the right section. My girlfriend recently turned 21 and I would like to take her to Vegas for the first time this coming late August-early September. And, I would like for it to be a memorable experience for her. We will be staying at Caesar's Palace and I would like the following comps/amenities; limo pick-up/drop-off, full rfb(maybe a suite?), vip club entrance, poolside cabana, and spa privileges for her. In return, I will pony up 50K USD$ in front money, and put some of that in action at the baccarat tables. I generally put in 3-5 shoes per day with bets ranging from 100-1000$ per hand, and any funds remaining at the end of our trip I would leave on deposit to play with on future trips. So, are my expectation reasonable for the front money and action I am willing to provide?

I think a $50K wire will get the attention of some host but expecting all those as an upfront comp is not reasonable.
You may get a room and everything else on a backend comp based on theo or loss.
You can dream though!

Front money doesn't guarantee the casino anything. Play over time allows for the computers to generate an estimate; like stated above, maybe the room. You best bet, play what you want to play and get the backend comps. If you earned them, you will get them.

If you are willing to drop even half that amount in a trip, depending on play, you would get plenty in backend comps to cover your expected expenses.

Yeah, comps on the back end are fine. And, it isn't just the front money but the action I will give them. As I said, I generally put in 3-5 shoes per day with an average bet of say 350-400$ per hand and say 80 hands in an average shoe so I think that kind of action is fairly significant.

Your profile indicates 50 trips to Vegas. I would assume you have a relationship somewhere?

As said, upfront usually means little. It does not mean you will gamble even one dollar-right?

For the cost of a few hands you mention, you can probably buy most of what you are looking for.

Some side advice - if you want her to have a good time - it probably will not include you sitting at a table all day gambling.

Just charge everything to your room, Pay the Limo upfront and everything else goes charged to your room, At the end of the trip if your play as mentioned I am sure you will have no problem getting comped

Joined today, 50 trips, 21 YO girlfriend and wiring 50K up front...........

Then asking this question? Trolls be a trollin.

Your gf is 21 and you are going to blow 50,000 on a vacation?

I think I have a pretty good idea how this one is going to turn out.

Phhhhhhaaa you are correct ... guy been to Vegas 50 times hmmmmm and played such game/per hand and doesn't know??? Hmmmm sound little lol.

Yup, I have to agree with the rest. If you've been to vegas 50x and gamble what you say you gamble I'm sure that you are on someone's radar already. You should check with your "home" casino in vegas, I'm sure you would get some of what you ask for if you do gamble that amount. On the other hand, if you are just saying that you would gamble that amount but don't really gamble that much on your other 50x trips then you shouldn't count on getting anything upfront. $50k upfront money means squat to them, it does put you on their radar but they will look at your gambling history to see what you've done on previous trips.

Best to contact a host to see what they will give you but again the host will check your playing history to determine comps. If little to no history the host will tell you to pay for your own room and everything else and charge them to your room, then at the end of your stay go see them and the host will determine if you deserve to get any charges taken off your bill. Get and pay for your own limo going to the hotel, unless you have a history of play at CP or their sister properties which warrants the limo they ain't going to send the limo for you. Same thing with the spa, VIP entrance and cabanas, charge them to your room and at the end they will determine if your play warrants removal of charges.

Vegas knows better than to give carte blanche to people who "say" they will put in play but don't have any history of gambling so don't expect to get anything if you don't have a history at that casino, even if you flash them upfront money.

I agree with others, if you are going with your GF I don't think she will enjoy watching you play on the tables for hours every day to get the comps (you will probably have to put in at least 3 - 6 hours a day to rate those comps at CP) and you will probably be spending more time showing your GF a good time in vegas. It would probably be best if you use some of that $50k to give her a good time instead of worrying about playing for comps.

I agree with the posts above that this whole discussion is likely a troll. But if the information helps others reading this thread, three to five hours a day of baccarat at $400 a hand is NOT fairly significant. Its nothing to sneeze at and a player will certainly get a room comped playing that much (and should get a bit more), but to expect everything the OP listed is not realistic (even on the back end). $400 a hand is not even a purple chip player and there are tons of those players in vegas every day. They can't all get a cabana and the biggest suites

  • Ready for Pool Season
  • What is this "slot tournament" you speak of?

Most of this is correct--just charge to the room--and you can make the limo reservations with Caesars Palace and it can also be a back end comp
But I am lot a lot of others--some thing just doesn't sound right If you play that much and have 50 trips

Well, there's that plus sending $50k in front money and a list of requirements isn't going to get him shit unless he also sends some proof of play somewhere else or someone to vouch for him. The actual costs can be charged to the room, but there's no "price" on access and privileges. They have to be arranged.

Just like UK said.
Assuming everything OP said was true. $400/hand Bac for 3 hours only $900 theo.
For someone with no history no host, 25% comp is the max these days.
It will cover a room at CP ($200+), maybe a little food, not much.

Sheesh, I as a legit question and cats come over the top to accuse me of bein a troll.

Honestly, I didn't think troll.
But I did notice real quick you reported 50 trips to Vegas. That made me wonder why you didn't know what to expect in the way of upfront comps.

Speaking of comps, what have you been getting upfront in Vegas?

Yes, I do have over fifty Vegas trips under my belt but during almost ALL of them I stayed downtown. And while I love the downtown vibe I thought my gf would much more enjoy a high end experience on the strip. I haven't been to Vegas for a few years but in years past I always got generous treatment at Golden Nugget as I mostly gave them my baccarat play but have never ponied up front money before so just wanted some feedback.

I'm a downtown guy myself, cannot give any tips on how to transition to the Strip with upfront comps. Maybe have the Strip host call your GN host.
However, I'm a bit envious that you have a 21yo GF. Please post a TR with lots of pics.

Welcome to VMB!

If OP is for real, please accept apologies from some of the posters here. (can not speak for everyone)

BUT BUT BUT BUT

50 trips and ZERO strip experience?

And close to zero understanding of how comps work?

How many days?
Limo to and from- maybe $150 round trip
VIP entrance to a club? $100 tops. Maybe zero if you are both affractive . Maybe $1,000-$5,000 if you want to get a table/bottle service
Poolside Cabana- at a normal hotel pool, $500 minimum spend should take care of it. Less if it's midweek.
Spa privlages- do you mean just being able to use the spa? Part of your resort fee. If she wants a massage or treatment- $150 and up. Maybe $1,000 max per day.

So if you come out of pocket- you're looking at a few thousand per day. Maybe a little more if you want to do it really big.

What's the point of trying to get it comped if you can just pay for it? However, if you want to gamble- then gamble. But don't do it trying to cover spa treatments.
