Unfortunately, they did away with free admission to the auto collection, so now you have to pay to visit a glorified car dealership showroom floor. Yeah. Pass. It's all part of the current strategy in Vegas to do away with all free entertainment, crank the prices on paid entertainment, and nickel and dime everyone for everything until customers decide to just go to their local casino instead.

Yet we still keep going to Vegas. I live a little over an hour from AC but haven't been there in almost 3 years. For one I would only go there on a weekend, and I'm not paying $300-400 a night. Second the slots and comps have not been generous since 2008. Before I'd always get a comped or highly discounted room on the weekends. Plus 2 free buffet coupons at CET buffets. Then they stared to give me bogo coupons, which still wasn't bad, then they did away with those. I would usually get $50 in free play per month, then it went down to $5 were it still is now. My play didn't change at all. I'm not even sure I'll even return to AC. I also live 35 minutes from Parx and haven't been there in almost 2 years. Their slots are so tight, and on weekends it's almost impossible to find $10 minimum tables. $25 is a little to rich for me.

If Las Vegas ever gets as bad as AC I'd probably stop going there too. Unfortunately with resort fees and paid parking it's on its way.

You know I've been going to Vegas. At least once a year since 96. And never seen them damn cars.

Saw them twice back in mid-late 80's. Understood they downsized some in the 90's and beyond. It was a great break and not timed so you could spend hours or minutes if you so chose. This was back when the hawkers on the sidewalk handed out tickets like porn slippers. Perhaps it was the trial phase to move UP to porn snappers; don't know but enjoyed the autos anyway.

They raised the price to 12.95 (I think) a person, and I downloaded/printed a coupon for b1g1 on July 17th. I have it saved on my computer, but I can't figure out what site I found it on. I'll keep looking...

I have stated in another thread, they raised the price, and dont have near the amount of cars they advertise...on top of that, there was a 4th section of the garage that is now closed off from public view

its nice if you are into cars and want to kill some time but I wouldnt pay $13 to see it

Like @lithium78 said to the new offer, pass. It was nice for free of course. Haha

I was home base at IP during the mid nineties and never made it back to see the cars. The few people who told me it was worth seeing sounded like they were selling life insurance.

I like this show. Samba Bus, Cars from Elvis and Marilyn and many very nice old cars more:clap:. If I do not find a free ticket I will pay for it. That's one of the best shows I have seen.

    Thanks for all the informations.

They had a great collection of Dusenbergs at one time, the collection took up the whole ante room off the main floor. No more, I think there is only one left, if that.

I was always amazed how many FIA rally cars there are.....mid eighties cars some of them and really expensive, in the hundred thousand dollar range. No idea why, they aren't even streetable.

Did enjoy it for free, but doubt I would pay $13 again, but might if it was my first time. My guess is the gift shop is still free, they had some fun stuff in there, novelty Nevada license plates like Area 51, Winner, Gambler, stuff like that.
Seems the shop was always staffed by elderly women, no idea why that might be the case, they were always sweet and called you honey :):):)
