Is there free parking in downtown? I'll be staying at a hotel on the strip but I definitely want to make a drive to downtown since I'm bringing my car this time. My favorite casinos there are the D, Golden Gate, Binions and 4 Queens. I'm also fine with parking a bit further away if it's a 10-15 min walk. I checked their websites and it looks like parking is free for guests of if they validate. I'm not sure what's needed for validation so if anyone know that would help greatly!

The valet at the D is no charge (except for a $1 tip).

Parking at the QQQQ (valet or self) is free for 4 hours with validation. You can validate by:

    1) Playing slots (call for a slot attendant)
    2) Taking out a marker
    3) Eating at Magnolia's (other restaurants may do so as well, but Magnolia's is the only one that I am sure of)

Self parking at the El Cortez is free

I don’t know the time limit if any but last trip you had to spend 15$ (?) at a bar or restaurant or earn some number of points to have parking validated at the players desk for Boyd. The parking lot is close to MSS and California hotels
Fremont hotel is valet parking ONLY but don’t know specifics. If el Cortez IS free, it is not far for someone who can motor around and about via the left right left formula. I’d go with that if indeed free.

Not sure if it's changed, but while MSS charges to self-park, valet has always been free.

If you're Sapphire or higher with Boyd, parking is free at all of their downtown properties. I get free parking so I normally park at MSS or the California. Just have your ticket validated at the BConnected desk when you're ready to leave. Valet parking at MSS is free for visitors (just tip the valet), unless they have a special event going on, but if you self-park in their garage I believe the first 30 mins if free, then they charge a fee unless you earn at least 200 points gambling or spend $20 min on dining, etc.

I don't like time limits, that is why I valet park at The Fremont. It's worth the tip of a few bucks.

Yeah, but valet you should tip, so it's not really "free".

As far as I'm concerned, if my only responsibility is a meager tip, it's free. But maybe that's just me.

There is an area behind the MSS parking structure, under the overpass that doesn't charge for parking. Unfortunately parking there is at a premium so not easy to find open stalls, especially during the day.

You can also park on the street by el cortez, north of Ogden ave. I always see open areas on the street that you can park for free.

Did Binions a few times... play a slot, hit the attendant button, get a stamp on your parking ticket for free parking. We also did the Fremont Casino several times and they have a free valet with tip.

The players club at the Four Queens can also validate your parking. Last time they just asked if I had been playing, but I don't think they actually did anything to check.

Edit: I should add that I find the Four Queens' parking structure to be a bit tight. If you worry about door dings you'll want to find an end spot or go a few floors up to park away from folks.

At QQQQ, I always go to the top floor. It's a shorter walk to the elevators and much less congested.

What about the Golden Nugget? I remember if you parked there, you had to bring your ticket to the main cashier in the casino and have them validate it for you. Do they still do this for you for a few hours?

Join the D's slot club and get validated at the rewards desk located at the garage entrance. That's the easiest I've found for parking and good for 3 hours.
