1st time waited for an hour and then got off the call because I needed to join a meeting. Back at it again for 20min so far.

Why the hell is the ONLY way to book via calling. This isn't the 90s anymore.

I took CET up on their offer for a complimentary flight/hotel stay for two to Reno/Tahoe earlier this month. I was given the choice of either Reno or Lake Tahoe; I easily choose Tahoe. My youngest son and I flew out of LaCrosse, Wisconsin with a stop in Madison to pick up more passengers. We flew on a Swift Airline charter 737. Upon arrival at the Reno airport we were put on a bus and made the hour long trip to Harrah's Tahoe. My room was on a low floor overlooking the parking lot. However, I slipped the clerk a $20 and he put a lakeview room on a high floor on hold if we wished to change rooms the next day.....done deal. The next morning I checked at the desk and they took my phone number and would text me when we could move to the new room. I rented a car from Avis at the counter at the Hard Rock casino across the street from Harrah's for two days. Around four in the afternoon I received my text and we moved into a nice lakeview room on the 19th floor. The room with two queen beds had two bathrooms; one with a shower stall the other with a tub/shower. We had two great dinners; one at Friday's Station and the other at Sage. The casinos were empty Wednesday and Thursday, but things really picked up over the weekend. We boarded the bus early Sunday morning(0500) but we had a two hour delay before our flight left from Reno. The CET people had things pretty well organized except for being there to explain the flight delay going home. My son and I had a very enjoyable time and I would not hesitate booking another one of these junkets. I did use a similar offer to Laughlin a coupe of years ago and again the CET people were very organized and the trip when off smoothly.

@Dragonfly i have been on bills yacht. It’s small and doesn’t run all year. Our slot forum group had a meet in Tahoe and we had the yacht booked with room for 2 extra people. This was few years ago

There were sandwiches, salads, cookies out to serve your self. A server was getting drinks for everyone. I don’t drink think could get more drinks.
Looked like a bathroom down some stairs.
I didn’t move from my seat but some of the guys were throwing the food over to the fish.

It lasted maybe an hour and a half.

Just to give an update on this adventure, I am 10 days out, haven't received my tickets yet but I did receive an email a couple days before the final cancellation day. Email received April 13th, Final day to cancel was April 16th. Though interestingly the email said I booked it for two people even though I am going solo. Will be interesting to see who else they stick with me :D

Also @KnowItAll looking at your timer, it looks like we might be going the same day(s)!

I did finally get my packer around 5pm PT.

Got the last two seats in the back of an American Airlines "Project Oasis" converted 737. How about....

Upgraded myself to the Main Cabin Extra for $75 round trip and on offered to pay for first but the seat is "reserved" until day of departure for irregular operations. So I'll check in with the AA counter at the airport.

Also CET did put my first name as "Sprint Mr" as my first name instead of "Mr Sprint". Curious how that will go lol....

    Less than 6 days now!

Are you arriving on Friday? My person said there's only 6 spots, 5 taken on my plane from DFW.

That's actually quite common in airline reservation systems. It's a historic oddity from when those systems didn't have a proper place to put the title, so agents would just append it to the person's first name.

Here's a tip for the free trips to Tahoe (I fly from Las Vegas and have been doing it for many years) -- they usually use Southwest so I give the agent my Southwest Frequent Flier number and that way I know when the flight is "booked" and it gives you a little more control over your destiny. The agent will tell you that the frequent flier number does not always "transfer" -- but for me it always did. I would imagine it would be the same with the other airlines from other cities. Once you go to Tahoe once, you will go back. It is beautiful, relaxing, and there is a lot to do other than the casino. Walk down from the casino right to the Lake. There is a lovely hotel right on the lake called The Landing -- stop in for a drink or lunch. 90% of the time they will limo you over to the casino from Reno airport (it takes one hour and fifteen minutes to get to Tahoe from the airport). But more and more they are using the luxury buses.

I did give my American Airlines number to the agent and it did not transfer over or they didn't actually try. But it was easy to get put on there once I got the ticket info.

    Thanks for the tips!

I asked about adding our SW FF #s when booking and they said they/I couldn't until 7-10 days beforehand.
It was limited to 10 (or 20 total if everyone brought a companion)

Cool beans. I'm also there through Tuesday but arriving Friday. I'll be in a Cleveland Browns hat 99% most of my gambling time if you see me!

Do you have to book the exact dates they offer in the mailers? I have a weekend that works, but want to come back on Sunday instead of Monday....
    how does that work?

Yes you do have to book the exact dates in the offer. Your only option is to get your own transportation home which is very doable but expensive. You'd have to book your own flight from Reno and find transportation from SLT to Reno. There is a shuttle but times might not fit your schedule and it's not cheap.
